There was minor repairs needed for the accessible rooms. The railing in the bathrooms was damage. It was a funny smell in the bathroom due to the sewage, and I could get in sunlight in the room due to the shades being broken and not having a string to adjust.

Staff did their best to accommodate us--problem was that the room that we expected and needed was a handicapped accessible one. The facility was under renovation and all the handicapped rooms were the ones being worked on. We were given a suite which under other circumstances would have been satisfactory. We had to make do with a miniature toilet instead of a comfort height, so had to struggle and flop on it since there were no grab bars. Also, the huge shower was okay, except for the fact that there was only one grab bar in the shower and the floor was slippery. When a wife with back problems and a husband with Parkinson's have to struggle to keep from falling, the visit was a precarious one. If we had contacted the site ourselves, we would have found another facility with handicapped access. Hotels.com was the cause of this fiasco.
