House on a Canal, walk to Zoo, Science Museum & Park
NEW LISTING. This newly renovated 4 bedroom, 2 bath house is a nature lovers paradise! Located directly on a canal you can walk out the back door and witness all of South Florida wildlife up close and personal. Inside you'll find a bright open space with tons of natural light.
The master bedroom has a king-sized bed, HD TV, and its own separate AC unit. The 2nd bedroom has 2 full size beds while the 3rd bedroom has 2 twins. Both of these rooms include large closets with plenty of space. The front room can be used as a 4th bedroom with a pull-out full-size futon, or as a virtual office.
The kitchen is fully equipped, and the house is stocked with all necessary linens, towels and paper goods. Xfinity cable and strong, reliable wireless internet are provided throughout the property. There is also a full washer and dryer and a propane BBQ grill.
The canal, located directly in the backyard, is home to several different species of South Florida wildlife. The most abundant of which are the large green iguanas that love to sun themselves on the deck and grass. There are plenty of fish in the water so grab your poles and reel in some Sunfish, Largemouth Bass, Peacock Bass, Snook, Tarpon, Redfish, Mangrove Snapper and many other popular species. In addition, you may come across several types of exotic birds, turtles, otters, lizards and frogs just to name a few.
The house is just a short walk (about a half a mile) to The Palm Beach Zoo, The South Florida Science Center and Aquarium and Dreher Park. It is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized in between each tenant and all linens are exchanged with freshly washed replacements.
Note: The garage is not accessible to tenants. It is locked and used for owner storage.
What a week we had! My first time visiting WPB didnât know the area and came to play croquet at NCC. I could see the clubhouse from the front door. The house and host made it feel like home. Everything I needed and more was there. The house was clean and tidy and for an extended stay it was a bonus to have the washer and dryer. I wish I had time to enjoy the backyard and fishing but it was nice to know i had the choice. Cannot wait to come back!
The host was amazing! Chris answered my questions very fast. In the case of me not knowing how to work the TV, he explained how it worked and even offered to come over to help me if needed. This house was very clean and convenient to my tournament. I loved looking out from the back yard and seeing birds and other wildlife around the canal. I would stay here again!
The kitchen was well-stocked. The towels provided were good - some of them were like hotel bath sheets. There was plenty of hand soap, paper towels and toilet paper. I appreciated the communication with the host. The sheets and comforters were nice, as well. The neighborhood was okay (not great), and the house is on a very busy street, so there was a lot of traffic noise. It seems like the house has had some work done on it to try to make it nicer. There is more work wor be done to repair - what appears to be - water damage, which leaves the house with a musty smell. We did have to contact the host regarding a burnt out light in the kitchen and the separate AC unit in the master bedroom not working. The host was quick to respond. Unfortunately, the repairman was not able to come out until late in the day and he could not fix the AC unit, so we never had AC in the master bedroom.Overall, it was an okay visit. The house needs some work to make it a better visit.
Some kitchen utensils we're not clean, the 3 big garbage cans were full andc I put them in the cirb since we checked in Friday but not been picked up since we left. Washing machine looks filthy and not working. A/C STOPPED WORKING in the master bedroom. Gr
