The Westgate train station is 200 yards away with mainline into London and Margate. Alternatively, a quick easy taxi or bus travel into Margate, just five minutes away or any of the surrounding towns in the area. The beautiful Westgate beach is just 7 minutes’ walk and if you want to wander there are beaches in both directions, Minnis Bay, Birchington to the left and Margate to the right as you face the sea. These days, Margate fizzes with artistic energy. To traditional, holiday-town charms, add a world-class art gallery. Margate’s Old Town rejoices in a funky vibe. Here chic eateries, galleries, vintage shops and chilled-out cafés rub shoulders with traditional seaside delights: candyfloss stands; fish and chip shops; seafood stalls.
