Definitely not like the pictures
The hotel looks okay from the outside, it’s not in a great neighborhood (homeless and drug activity in neighboring motels). The room itself was in disrepair. There was dirty towels still in the room, like someone threw them randomly around the room to see if housekeeping actually would clean the room and find them, and surprise! They didn’t. The sink and shower did not drain at all- it sat with a good three inches of water in it at all times. We were there 3 nights and not a single time did they come to take the trash from the room- or refresh the amenities (when we checked in there was half a roll of toilet paper and no extra anywhere in the room). The lights also flickered in our room a lot. The “hall” light outside the bathroom wouldn’t turn on at all. It was quiet, the breakfast staff was very nice and welcoming (and the food wasn’t bad- typical for a “free” breakfast). Front desk staff was hit and miss- we reported the not draining sink the night of our check in and the desk clerk basically told us to get use to it.

A piece of fruit would be nice
My main issue was the disconnect between Hotels.com and the actual hotel. Confirmation numbers were different and not recognizable to the hotel; this should be easy to fix, no? And another big problem: my flight was delayed, so I did not arrive at the hotel until 2:15 on Mar 10 -- 45 min before check-in on Mar 11. I had originally booked for 2 nights (9-11) but only had 45 minutes there on my first day. But the hotel couldn't do anything about it -- because, they said, I had booked through a third party. So I paid way too much. I realize I should have cancelled, but again, issues with the hotels.com and the actual hotel made it difficult, especially when traveling and overwhelmed already with a red-eye flight and connecting flight to make. Oh last thing: the hotel was comfortable, and breakfast offered a lot -- but no fruit. Just carbs. Please consider having a bowl of fruit somewhere?
