This cabin features two bedrooms with full bed in one and Queen bed in other bedroom, bathroom ( shower only) , washer and dryer, equipped kitchen with granite countertops and stainless appliances. Extra sleeping is provided in gathering room with a queen size pull out sofa. Gather in the large gathering area with windows galore with lake views. Off the living room is a quaint sunroom for you to enjoy your morning coffee or just sit on the deck at night enjoying the outdoors. It is fully equipped with all of your daily living needs and is located within one mile of a grocery store.



It has a large yard with almost 300 feet of waterfront! Bring your own personal water sports equipment. Want to bring your boat? There is a public boat ramp within a mile for your convenience!

Lovely house, perfect for a girls weekend. Great views of lake. When bugs came out the screened in porch was great to have. We had to reach out to host on something and they responded within a few minutes. Thats was really nice. It was a really relaxing place. We loved it.

The location on the lake was so relaxing, neighbors were quiet, screen porch was wonderful, views of the water from almost every window! Only con I would list is it wasn't super clean. Lots of dirty dishes in the cabinets, dust, needed a good sweep/mop. The bathroom sink barely drains and the kitchen sink drains quite slow. However, these things wouldn't stop me from staying again. Host was great! Very responsive and even had a bundle of firewood waiting for us.

This house was fantastic in every way. It was just down from the boat launch. We could see my husband put our boat in the water. Then he docked in front of the house to pick us up. It was a birthday/anniversary to remember. The only thing we might say is there were ants in the shower.

Perfect Weekend Getaway!
The Barefoot Bungalow was the perfect choice for our weekend getaway. Everything was so nice, its very convenient, beautiful furnishings. Views are amazing. We all loved sitting on the covered porch having our coffee, relaxing, and especially watching the sunsets. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely perfect stay. Owner was great and responded quickly. Very convenient for anything that you want to do in Central Alabama. Cabin was cozy, fishing was excellent, and the views from the porch are amazing. Will definitely stay here again.

The cleanliness of the house was very terrible every corner of the ceiling & floors had cobwebs & dead bugs ..windows, screens & sills were full of dirt & dead bugs. Cabinets had dead ants & bugs..my wife took the vacuum & cleared cobwebs out,dead mouse found under sink …contacted owner due to previous review prior visit & was assured no rodents & that the place is cleaned thoroughly. The closets had cobwebs with dead bugs & spiders stuck in them with dust covering the ironing board & floors. When I pointed out the closets & asked the cleaning lady would she hang her clothes in the closet that filthy? The lake & location is simply beautiful & plenty of seating area outside & nearby town Wetumpka is a really cute town. We left early & it’s a shame. The owner did apologize & refund for the days we didn’t stay. Disappointed that we were assured place is clean & no rodent issues.

FIRST THING I TRIED TO ASK BEFORE THIS REVIEW IF I COULD POST PICTURES.....YOU WOULD HAVE TO SEE TO BELIEVE.... Upon walking in to the property, the only thing that had been cleaned for a long time were the floors. There was dirty windows, sills, the oven was so crusted over that I could not cook in it, you couldn't even see through the oven glass it was so filthy. The refrigerator/freezer was crusted with old food and paper cartons stuck to it. the kitchen drawers where the dish towels were had rat feces in them....UGGGHHH The sunroom area was dirty and the rug out there had stains and curled up for a trip hazard. Went out to grill steaks on the gas grill outside and a mouse came running out when I lit it, the bottom of the grill caught fire from the rat bed that was evidently in there and all you could smell for hours was that. Went to the shower and the drain had hair covering it....GROSS I contacted the owner about the stove and a few more things so she wanted to come over Christmas day and clean the stove! Told me she had just cleaned the whole house the day before, tis house hadn't been cleaned inside or out for a long time. The sheets were clean and that' s about it. They gave me a refund of the cleaning fee but it was far past the cleaning fee , I don't want someone else walking into what I did there. I have stayed at many places. Never have I came across this.

Communication with owner was great.. Place is as described ,very quiet lakefront property..Kitchen was well stocked . Outdoor fire pit was Fun and landed a green and large blue catfish off the dock. 5 minute drive for supplies . Spent a fun 2 nights!

Beautiful location and tons of potential, just very dirty.
My wife and I got to the property Thursday afternoon and immediately started unloading not thinking much of anything, house smelled clean or febreezed at least. After we had our stuff out we let our dog loose in the house and he started finding stuff on the ground and most was understandable and honestly not a concern so we went ahead and swept, doing so uncovered alot more dirt and just crap then we'd imagine but no big deal. Decided to cook some food we brought so start looking for cookware and realized this place is nearly an afterthought. There were dead bugs in every drawer along with what looked like crap, there was people's trash over the vlfridge along with an inch of dust, there was dead bugs smashed all over the walls of the shower and in the cielings and people's used bars of soaps and bodywashes and everything random they left in there. There were dead gnats on the ceilings throughout the house, the ac vents were black from dust , there was someone's dirty clothes in the dresser, it was so bad we wanted to leave immediately but decided that we didn't want to have a complete waste of what we paid for. The next morning we got up and I cooked breakfast on the dilapidated stove and realized as bad as the inside was the real beauty of this place is the outside. The property is as perfect as one would want imo with a beautiful view of the lake but once the sun went down we were ready to go again so we ended up leaving a full day earlier and left it at that. This place has nothing but potential, I hate even leaving a review like this but it seems like from the reviews this isn't truly being brought up. I dont have any hard feelings, I hope they don't either.

This property was great! We enjoyed the views, the firepit, and the overall home like feel of the house. I hope to stay here again in the future when traveling to Lake Jordan. I will advise travelers with boats! The driveway does require you to back down toward the house. Not a problem for us, and the covered parking was great for my boat!

We love this lake house!
We had a beautiful, relaxing week at this comfortable, cozy lake house. Communication with the owner was easy and quick. There are a number of sitting and dining areas inside and out, all of which have a great view of the lake. We are already planning a return trip next spring and next fall!
