Dear Marnie,
I hope this message finds you well.
Thank you for reaching out regarding the issues in question. I'd like to clarify a particular matter first. We had planned to launder all the sheets in the washing machine a day before our scheduled departure. However, upon removing the sheets from one of the bedrooms, we were shocked by the state of the mattress we had slept on for eight nights. The mattress was in unhygienic conditions that pose a health risk to anyone.
This discovery compelled us to vacate the premises immediately, leaving behind some unattended garbage in one of the rooms and unwashed kitchen items.
Please note that we left the property a night earlier than planned, incurring additional expenses by staying at a hotel in Vancouver’s international airport for one night. We are now quite surprised and concerned that there is an attempt to charge us for a mattress that was clearly in a deplorable state upon our arrival, and this was the primary reason for our early departure.
Should you require further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us. However, I must express our refusal to pay for the replacement of a mattress that we did not damage.
Kind regards,
Juan
