I had a hard time deciding how to rate this property. On the positive, the apartment itself was fine in the ways that mattered the most to us - the beds were clean and comfortable, the bathrooms were clean and well-stocked, and the living room furniture was adequate for the time we actually spent in the unit.
There were a few negatives, however, that turned us off. First, despite what the listing says, the apartment itself does not offer a washer or dryer. When I asked where they were, Anthony said that they weren’t located in the apartment; they were in the (non-operating) store over which the apartment sits. Anthony further said that if we left out what we wanted washed, he would take care of it. This wasn’t exactly what we had in mind, so we passed.
Second, there were communication issues. When we showed up for our stay, we found Anthony in the apartment cleaning it - he said he didn’t think we were coming until the next day. He finished shortly thereafter, but there were some things that were missed - a dirty spatula on the kitchen counter and old food left in the fridge. Nothing earth-shattering, but not what we expected.
We booked the place due to its proximity to Pittsburg Landing and the Snake River, and the location of the apartment was stellar in that regard. The two White Bird restaurants were certainly adequate for our needs. But, in view of the issues mentioned above, I don’t feel I can give a rating higher than 3 for our particular stay.
