Peaceful and charming
What a nice surprise pulling into this beautiful property. The grounds are lovely with amazing views with our own roosting turkeys every evening. Fun fishing out back and wonderfully appointed, charming cabin with plenty of room. So cozy and comfortable and high end at the same time. Best value we have had on vrbo, and we have rented a lot of nice places.

45th anniversary trip
This home is beautifully decorated, totally upscale furnishings. It is positioned on the bank of Lost Loon lake, directly across from the country club golf course. You can see the players play through. The back yard is lovely with the deck running the length of the house. We ate many meals there, enjoying the cool temps, wildlife and beautiful trees. The gormet kitchen is fully stocked for meal prep, just pick up groceries and you're all set. We had a wonderful time touring through Whitefish, Kalispell, Columbia Falls, and all through Glacier Nat Park. You'll love it, too!

Whitefish luxury cabin
This property was absolutely amazing! The views of the lake and backyard were beautifully scenic. The chef's kitchen was fully equipped with everything imaginable. The house was spotless and beautifully appointed. Our kids loved the chess table, board games, and books that were thoughtfully included. There were extra linens and blankets for cold nights. Wildlife was abundant right on the property. This is not just a nice house but a luxury cabin! It had absolutely everything we needed, and then some. The garage parking was an added bonus as we had several rainy days. The communication with the property management was excellent, as they promptly replied to any questions we had. We've rented numerous properties on VRBO, but this was by far the nicest place we've ever stayed. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful Stay in Whitefish
My husband and I were joined by our adult kids at this beautiful house to enjoy a week in Montana. This property did not disappoint! The home is situated on a gorgeous piece of land. The landscape and lake made for the most relaxing atmosphere. Every night the loons called, the wild turkeys roosted, the deer strolled by and an eagle soared over the dock. The view was incomparable and the serenity was a much appreciated and much needed escape. Thank you for allowing us to stay at this magical place.

Spectacular location and Amazing house!!!
Wow! What a great place to stay while visiting Montana. I stayed For four weeks and could not have imagined being more happy with a property than how I was With this place. The house layout is unique as far as the master bedroom goes but once you realize that it allows you to “get away” to you’re own space, you’ll appreciate it even more. House was very clean and extremely comfy which is great for entertaining. Of course I came in winter to snowboard but I can Imagine this place in the summer time being absolutely stunning as the lake sits just below the house…. The deck allows for a great view. There’s plenty of linens and towels and the kitchen works perfectly to cook while you entertain. Overall I’m very happy with this place and would (and will) rent it again. Also I love How the location was sooooo close to town but you still feel like you’re away from everything… very peaceful and quiet. Aloha

January Ski Week
We had a great week in Whitefish and this home made it special. It was beautiful home in a spectacular, secluded wooded setting backing up to the lake. The bedrooms were cozy and comfortable. We had a few issues after check-in as the furnace breaker had switched off, the television surround was a little tricky. You will need 4 wheel drive in the winter months here and be aware of strict check in/check out times. We were a little disappointed the management company wouldn't accommodate our request for a 12:00 noon checkout instead of the standard 10:00 but certainly understandable. We would stay here again.

Nice views, unwelcoming management style
We liked the view of the lake. Also, the kitchen is well-laid out and has most utensils one might need. However, there were several misrepresentations in the listing, and several inhospitable policies, that collectively made us feel both a bit cheated and a bit unwelcome. First, the listing said we could borrow kayaks and bikes from the house. Both my wife and I had noted that before booking, and we were looking forward to it. But after we committed to paying for a 10-day rental, that part of the listing apparently changed without notice to us, and there were neither bikes nor kayaks available for our use. Suggestion: if you want to change a material term of a contract after you've entered into it, first get the other party's agreement to the change. Second, the listing said there is a fireplace. In fact, the fireplace was nonfunctional, and despite my asking about it twice, the owner refused to fix it. Suggestion: if your tenant is paying to rent your house, and you represented that there is a working fireplace, spend the money to fix it. Additionally, far from making us feel like welcome guests in an upscale vacation home, a number of policies made us feel like cheap criminals or freeloaders. For example, the rules make it bizarrely clear that no coffee will be provided, and that after the allotment of toilet paper is used up, guests will have to buy their own TP. I've stayed in dozens of vacation rentals, and this is the only one that didn't provide coffee. Suggestion: if you had previous guests use up all of your coffee once or twice, then (1) you're still only out about $5, and (2) in any case, don't take it out on all future guests. Regarding the TP, we never ran out, but every time I used the toilet, it made me anxious to think we might. Motel 6 maids give out free TP to guests who ask. Is it really necessary to be that cheap? Also, there was no facial tissue in the whole house, so we used TP to blow our noses when necessary. I would think a few boxes of facial tissue are also standard for a rental of this type. As to the house itself, there appears to be no heat upstairs other than partial floor heat in the bathroom and a Franklin stove in the main bedroom. This means (1) it gets chilly in the bathroom, and (2) if you want to stay warm at night, count on the Franklin stove going off and on all night with the various noises that accompany that routine. Overall, we would not rent this house again.

Misleading
The pics show kayaks but none are there. The lake the cabin is on looks like a swamp and just a few days before our stay we’re told “no fishing, it’s a warm water hatchery”. The house had spiders all over the downstairs, I killed many each day. It’s close to Whitefish and spacious but that’s it.

Outstanding house and location
This house feels away from it all, but it just about 5 minutes from downtown Whitefish, hiking trails, grocery shopping, etc. LostCoon Trail has almost no traffic, and Foster Ln even less. Outside of the occasional sounds of golfers across the lake it's extremely quiet. It was very hot when we were there (historically high temps) and the AC kept most of the house cool. The only exceptions were the kids bedroom with the bunkbeds, the master closet and hallway. During July the sun came up about 5:30 and set around 10:30pm. We had temperatures in the high 90's up to 106 F while we were there, and with little to no breeze it didn't naturally cool off the interior of the house much at night. Again, these were apparently extremely abnormal conditions. Would guess that usually you could just open windows and get some relief in those areas that the AC doesn't reach. While technically a 3 BR house, this property is extremely spacious and there is tons of room. Some weird layout choices in spots (a bathroom off the pantry, a zig-zag hallway to access the master that go through a bathroom and closet to get to, etc.) but you get used to it fast. The house was clean, with quality appliances and nice tableware, grill, etc. Often in rental houses owners (understandably) may use cheaper furniture, appliances, dishes and cookware, etc. The owners of this house chose supplies that made us feel at home. The back deck and yard looks over Lost Loon (formerly LostCoon) lake which has warm water during the summer- great for a paddleboard or kayak. Again, sound carries over lakes, and the golf course is right across, so you'll hear a bit from the course during the season, but it's not a bad thing and you can only hear it from outside. The house is 5 minutes to downtown (an easy bike ride), the Whitefish River, golf, and about 5 minutes the other direction from some outstanding hiking and mountain bike trails on the Whitefish and Lion's Head systems. Big Mountain Village takes about 20-25 minutes to get to from here, which during the summer is no big deal. Not sure about the winter. It would be faster but when we were there Whitefish was CROWDED, and getting past downtown added an additional 10 minutes that during less crowded months probably isn't the case. Glacier is about 45 minutes away and an easy drive. The property management was very responsive for the few questions we had during our month long stay. Highly recommend this property!
