DETAILS: Set within a forested landscape only 5 minutes from downtown Whitefish, Scout’s Retreat is a 2,800 square foot home boasting 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, sleeping 8. Outdoor adventurers will be delighted that Whitefish Lake State Park is within walking distance and Whitefish Mountain Resort is a quick 20-minute drive. With a wood-burning fireplace, hot tub, and outdoor firepit, guests will undoubtedly find plenty to love!

Step inside this spacious Montana escape to discover hardwood floors and an arched entryway leading to an open-concept great room. Culinary enthusiasts will adore the gourmet kitchen’s built-in gas range, high-end appliances, and granite countertops! A traditional dining table off the side seats 8, with additional seating for 2 at the copper-wrapped bar. An adjacent mudroom is excellent for storing ski or hiking gear. At the far end of the great room, the living area’s river rock fireplace and leather sofa invite guests to unwind and stream a movie on the Roku-equipped 50” TV. Glass doors lead loved ones to a beautiful wraparound porch, offering forest views, a café table for 2, and a grill. When it’s time to retire for the night, the primary bedroom boasts a plush king bed with a private bathroom.

Take the joyfully tiled staircase down to the lower level for the ultimate hangout spot—a second living space with a large leather sectional, dart board, games, and a 50” TV. There are 3 guest bedrooms on this floor—2 with queen beds and 1 with a queen bed and a twin trundle. Feel free to pack light with the convenient laundry room. This home allows 1 dog with the proper pet fee and a full expectation that they are trained and that you clean up after your dog both inside and outside and do not allow them on the furniture/beds. The dog must be crated when you are not in the home. A pet agreement is required to be signed and returned prior to arrival. The Pet fee is $200 (max 1) and there is an additional $100 pet cleaning fee. You must notify the host if you are bringing a pet so that the proper fees can be collected.

Glacier Park International Airport is only about 20 minutes from Whitefish, Montana so getting here is easy!

Christmas reunion
Wonderful, spacious, and beautiful accommodations that housed many family members. Easy entry and great concierge service. One negative was restrictive policy for trash disposal, which became an issue because of Christmas boxes, wrapping, and beverage containers.

NYE in Whitefish
The house is definitely dated but it was comfortable enough for our group. We struggled trying to keep the room temperatures comfortable downstairs in the bedrooms were HOT and the main bedroom upstairs was Cold. We loved the fireplace but it seems it may need some maintenance to clean the soot as we needed to open a door or window to allow smoke to escape - and yes we checked to make sure the vent was open.. The driveway is definitely not the greatest to get in and out of. All and all we had the space we needed to enjoy our few days in Whitefish.

Nice house
It is a nice house. Clean with nice sheets and towels! Easy checkin process and easy instructions. You are in the trees so it’s a bit dark, but it is a lovely location!!! I could do without all the property manager texts about their real estate! That was a bit of a sales pitch on something I paid good money for. I didn’t like the sales aspect of that on vacation.

totally disappointing
We chose this property because it had three bathrooms and four bedrooms. We wanted all family members to have their own space and privacy and not be crowded. First flush of the upstairs toilet and we had water leaking from the ceiling in the bedroom below it. Should have realized there were issues with the plumbing when we saw the two disgusting plungers at the side of said toilet. Called property managers immediately and they said they would send a cleaning person. We didn't need a cleaning person, we needed a plumber. They said they would not send a plumber because the last time they sent him to the property for this same problem he said "the next time this happens we will need to do major repairs that include removing drywall". This house was rented to us with the full knowledge that the plumbing had issues. Property manager offered us about $500 discount. For us, this was not about the money. It was about space and accommmodation They talked with the owner who then offered more of a discount. Again, NOT ABOUT THE MONEY. I live in the Flathead Valley in a home with two bathrooms. It would have been better to stay there and be a little crowded than pay ANYTHING for this place. NOT clean. Cobwebs evident on all the ceiling fixtures. When my grandson went to retrive a toy that rolled under the sofa, the layer of dust was unbelievable. In short, the dishonesty of renting a place that was known to need repairs was unconscionable, response completely inadequate.

Beautiful location, well-equipped
Room for 6 adults to stay, each with their own bed. Great location for reunion with college friends. Beautiful surroundings. Loved hanging out on the wraparound deck and in the hot tub. Well-stocked kitchen. Generally, really well maintained. Only problem was a filthy BBQ and empty propane tank. I called property management; they said they’d send someone over to do a “deep clean” the next day but we didn’t see any sign of that. We ended up cleaning it ourselves. Communication was always prompt.

The cabin was perfect. There were 7 of us total. The house was plenty big. The hot tub was amazing (especially after hiking at glacier park) The kitchen is fully stocked to make dinners easily at the cabin. The location was perfect - easy drive to glacier National park, walking distance to whitefish state park and whitefish trail. Great family trip

Lovely Forested Getaway
Our group of 7 adults rented this home for our annual Whitefish Mountain trip. The house is incredibly spacious and could sleep a lot more people if you brought air mattresses to add to the spacious bedrooms. The hot tub is excellent for a soak after the ski day and the kitchen is the best equipped of any short term rental I have stayed in. The snow management in the winter time leaves a bit wanted, as the driveway and access to the hot tub were both icy. The parking is also limited and it's a stretch to fit 4 cars on the steep driveway, but it can be done. Our fwd vehicle had no problem making it in and out of the drive though. Would definitely stay again.

Great house for Glacier visit
We were super excited to stay at the house. The pictures online looked great and when we arrived we weren't disappointed. The house is in a great area of Whitefish, is well furnished and feels like home. Communication with the leasing company was great as well. I would highly recommend this property and will plan to return in the future.

Very comfortable home - loved our stay
Two couples celebrating our anniversaries stayed here. Amenities were very good quality. Beds very comfortable as well as furniture. Loved the deck area that was very large on two sides to enjoy. Bedrooms were huge. Great location for our 8 night stay. We all talked about wanting to come back to this home. It just felt so comfortable and relaxing. Appreciated the very nice kitchen, silverware, glassware and appliances. Excellent communication with either hosts or management company. Thank you for offering your home for rent. We appreciate you doing that as it was perfect for our needs. Nice to have two living areas and such a nice outside living area. So could have alone time or big rooms for group time.

Great space for the whole family to enjoy!
We really enjoyed our stay here in Whitefish. The location is great! We were in town for a family wedding and the space was perfect for our large family. The extra living area in the basement was nice for the kids/teens. Would recommend for families! Property managers were also very responsive with any questions we had during our stay.

We had some issues in the beginning with the house not being cleaned properly, trash left out on the deck, and in the freezer. The windows weren’t clean. When we checked in the hot tub only had 12 inches of water in it and we weren’t able to use it until the following day. Which was big bummer! The house could be stocked with some more dishes, like mixing serving bowls, better frying pans. They also need some more cooking utensils and spatulas. But overall, we had a great time and enjoyed our stay! Ashley was super helpful and nice!

cute stay in a cute town
My husband and I spent the long Thanksgiving weekend at this home. We enjoyed our time at this property- secluded, surrounded by nature, and a nice layout. The furniture in the living rooms are sort of uncomfortable and not meant to accommodate large parties- if you plan on lounging and watching TV or playing games this is the only aspect that falls short of five stars. But the house is stocked with everything you need, very comfortable master, and you cannot beat that wrap around porch and patio with hot tub. The management team was excellent- prompt, kind, and communicative. We would love to stay again for our small family but if we brought more people we would probably find somewhere with a little more for "hanging out".

Remote feel, close to everything!!
This property had a thoughtful and efficient layout inside and out, very private space and absolutely quiet and peaceful. You could hear the creek running through the property. Nice views from all windows, nice area for walking, quick 10 minutes or less to Whitefish Lake Park. The beds were comfortable, living spaces were comfortable and cozy, kitchen amenities were well stocked. Hosts were clear and easy to communicate with. Would absolutely stay here again.

The property was beautiful...inside and out. We were lucky to have great weather and to see the leaves change. Very clean and well appointed. Large enough for the 8 of us, yet cozy and comfortable! The house was great and location perfect for us and our family! The hot tub and fire pit was a plus for after our long hikes! We even got a surprise with a black bear playing in the back woods creek!
