What an amazing place. Can’t wait to come back. Service above and beyond Chase is just an amazing host 🙏incredible vibe. Watching stars hiking making s’mores at the bonfire. Is someone that travels a lot this place made a wonderful impression.
We enjoyed our stay the staff was friendly and food was enjoyable. We were only there for one night. I was surprised at end with a “amenities fee” that was not mentioned when booked it or at checkin. I Recommend if this is an issue with booking through Expedia and you are aware you should have an email that goes out to inform ahead of time and not at check out.
We were in the first tent and would get a persistent scent of septic. Hopefully that can be fixed
Lastly I hope you can implement a lights out policy as star gazing is certainly a large part of Glamping and both our neighbors and our friend’s neighbors left theirs on all night. It really impeded visibility.
All of these things are simple fixes and the overall experience is one I would recommend and also do again.
This is a very special resort, unlike no other. The tent is well appointed and way beyind our expectations. The staff is so super helpful and friendly. We really felt their pride in this special place. Highly recommended for all . The breakfast was so fresh and delightful as well as boxed lunch and dinner. I really can't stress how wonderful backland is we will definitely be returning.
It was awesome, very quite and relaxing. Staff was very nice and always attentive. Had fires going outside at night, smores at the ready. I would bring snacks next time since getting to a town is harder/longer on the forest dirt roads. But overall a great experience.
Enjoyed a three night stay in a sky tent. The property is in a beautiful location. It does require you to drive 15 miles on a maintained dirt road to get there. We had a four wheel drive truck so it was no problem. Make sure to arrive before dark because it’s very easy to get lost in the forest . This is a perfect place for children and very dog friendly. Our favorite part was nighttime by the campfire and looking thru the telescope to see Saturn and its rings! We took a day trip to white horse lake five miles away which was a very pleasant hike around the lake. The staff at this property are amazing.
The staff was amazing, especially Chase. We arrived to the camp site late in the evening. He promptly got us some drinks and dinner. He gave us some recommendations and we did them all! We told us about the train to the Grand Canyon, Bearizona, and Sedona. This was our first time to AZ and we were so thankful for suggestions of what to do and lost importantly, things we could do with a toddler.
We have had the most amazing time, we have three kids that did not want to leave the property for the 3 days we were there. Spent the days kayaking, fishing, playing chess and a bunch of other games made available by the property, walked through the forest, watched the rain, watched the moon through the telescope available at the property … all in all - an amazing experience !!! We will be back :)
We had such a great time at Backland! A fun drive in opened up to 10 glamping tents. Everything was in great condition and they had so many extras: a lake with complimentary kayaks, s’mores kits every night, fishing rods, and much more!
The staff was so helpful accommodating us. We cancelled a tour to spend more time there.
Minus an unfortunate mixup with our reservation (which Chase went out of his way to try to resolve), wonderful experience at this beautiful and clean glamping hotel! The area is very remote but once you get there, it is exactly the glamping experience we were looking for. The tents are spacious, clean and modern, and have a beautiful and tranquil view. Great dining options and good breakfast included. We had a snow day during our stay and the white everywhere is absolutely stunning!
