Breakfast was hot and fresh every morning, the room was exceptionally clean, and parking was abundant. Check in and out was very quick and easy! This property was great other than the pillows. Strongly suggest you bring your own as these are probably the worst pillows we’ve ever tried to use.

During my online booking somehow I unknowingly ended up with a 3rd party reservation service rather than booking directly with the facility as intended. Consequently, the discounts I intended to use were not accepted at check-in. Beware I also not aware different types of rooms were available. It would have been helpful to have seen others during booking as the room provided would not have been selected at the price. It was no different than basic rooms at most discount lodging chains for half the price or less. It also needs improved lighting and electrical outlets were minimal. In addition, the onsite WIFI was unusable in the room as my computer refused to connect due to "poor signal quality". Fortunately I was able to use personal equipment with me to create a small WIFI network. Otherwise, it would have been necessary to go to the lobby for network access. While every facility staff member I interacted with was exceptional, the room was disappointing.

This hotel was located in a neat scenic area in Williamsburg. The pros- its conveniently located in the Williamsburg tourist area and you are able to have a bus pick you up and take you to all the nice visitor spots located close by and it’s free. The breakfast options were wonderful along with the ability to play mini golf (18 holes), ping pong and basketball 24 hours a day for free! The outside pool is also a great size to fit a lot of visitors comfortably, and is also heated when necessary. They offer self serve laundry service 24 hours a day. The manager at the front desk, was absolutely fabulous. He was so helpful and friendly! The cons- the AC was not working properly in all of the hallways and it was pretty warm when walking outside of your room. The supervisor “Karen” of the breakfast area was standing guard by the food and closely watched everyone get their food and eat. The first morning, one of our bagels popped up in the toaster, she pushed it back down again and caused it to burn. The next morning, she pushed someone else’s bagels repeatedly down the toaster causing smoke to pour out of the toaster. She then used a paper plate to wave the smoke around and caused several of us to leave the area due to the smell. I’m assuming that was her goal! She poorly represented the hotel. The beds in our room were both a double size and unfortunately not very comfortable, but we made it work.

Good place for family fun. Room was clean. Pool was nice and they had plenty of pool towels available. Tried mini golf. It was a little run down but fun. Breakfast had plenty of different choices. Nothing made to order but enjoyed the options. The directions to the tram were a little confusing but it was an awesome option to get around.

My husband and I always love our get-aways to Williamsburg, where we always stay at Woodlands. Quiet and family oriented, convenient to transportation every hour for Colonial Williamsburg, many places to go and see nearby. Beautiful pool, polite and attentive service.

Could use some upgrades but overall the experience was good. Couldn’t hear other guests unless they were running in the hallways, however it’s a very kid friendly hotel. Overall experience was good and would book again if in the area due to the location and convenience to Historic Williamsburg.

I was traveling with 4 11 to 14 year old kids. The facility was great, staff helpful, and there was plenty for the kids to do. They even put down thier cell phones, and engaged in the real world! Great place for a damily.

Great for small kids
Woodlands is very peaceful as well as the staff are right on point. Also, a great place to take small kids. Victoria is the children’s activity coordinator. She was so wonderful and kind to our granddaughter Trinity. I would return and stay longer in the future. Free breakfast just needed more meat and hot items.

Hotel was wonderful! Within walking distance to Colonial Williamsburg! The BEST buffet breakfast ever! Clean & spacious rooms, 2 nice pools, one for adults, another for kids! Laundry facilities & free onsite parking! Highly recommend this awesome hotel!
