Not the worst but definitely not the best
Conrad Hilton is rolling over in his grave. This place is falling apart and nothing works. If you go expecting to use their indoor pool, dont get your hopes up. Our room lock didnt work and the heat didnt work. The room was dark because the lighting was terrible. Luckily only had to stay there one night.

NEVER AGAIN!
From when we checked in till the time we checked out, there were issues. When we got into the room, we shortly discovered that sink drain was totally clogged and the toilet wssnt flushing completely. We called the front desk and they sent up a security guard with a tiplet plunger. He proceeded to attempt to plunge out the sink drain. What came up out of thecdrain and into the sink was very nauseating. The work part about it was we had our personal belongings around the sink area. Furthermore, his attemtp was a complete failure. The front desk moved us to anothercroom at 10:30pm. As it turned out the shower drain in our 2nd room was clogged. The bar at the hotel was a total joke.

Very comfortable stay. The "neighborhood" is pretty quiet on Thanksgiving night. The local Chamber of Commerce needs to enliven downtowncquite a bit.

Hotel was overpriced ($161/night). Room was shabbily-maintained (old fixtures left attached, torn wallpaper, tub leaked, bathroom dirty. Bathroom door wouldn't close. White sox stained black from filthy carpeting. No microwave.) Lobby was spacious and attractive. Front desk staff pleasant and helpful. But upstairs, basically a Motel 6 at 4-Star hotel prices. Wilmington is not traveler-friendly. Main streets poorly-lit and everything closed after 5. No restaurants in walking distance of hotel.

The old Bait & Switch
I was told that there was a shuttle available at this Double tree and that is why I stayed there. Turned out that they say the courtesy Shuttle was in for repairs… I wound up spending 14.00 dollars on and Uber. And when I return I’ll have to pay an additional 14.00 dollars to take me back to the hotel.
