The hotel was busy and bustling from a wedding happening that night, but I was still greeted kindly. The room was comfortable and clean. The noise was minimal. The river view was lovely. All in all my only complaint was how few meat/baked goods choices you got for breakfast. It felt like I was paying for the same breakfast that most hotel chains give you for free.

My sister and I had reservations at the Biltmore in Asheville. We got trapped without power for 40 hours. Therefore, no phone, no internet, no ability to contact your hotel to cancel in time. Once able to make calls, the hotel would not help me to cancel since I booked on Expedia. I had an extremely difficult time trying to contact Expedia to cancel through them. I was never able to speak to an Expedia rep. When there is a major hurricane, I would appreciate and it would create loyalty on my part to make an already stressful time less stressful. I am asking for your assistance as a partner with Expedia to assist me in getting a refund. Thank you for listening.

I usually have nothing but nice things to say when I stay at the Hyatt Place, but I was disappointed with the service at this one. I stayed at a different Hyatt Place the previous night, but due to them not having availability for Saturday night, I had to switch hotels. I called this hotel to ask if they would happen to accommodate early check-in. They could not, which of course is within their right. I then asked if my room would be ready by check-in and the person on the phone assured me it would be. I get to the hotel at 4:30 and Rebeckah rudely told me my room was not ready and I needed to wait. She stated they were overbooked and I’m the only one with a queen bed so I will have to wait a bit longer. She was unapologetic and rude and I’ve honestly never been spoken to like that by a Hyatt Place employee especially when check in was at 3 and I arrived 90 mins past check in time to not have a room yet assigned to me. For my inconvenience, I was given a free glass of beer. I also left the hotel and when I came back I heard her complaining to another employee about another guest being upset their room was also not ready. “These people are so entitled,” I overheard her saying. The room was nice enough, but because of the customer service and also there not being a pool, I don’t think I will stay at this particular Hyatt Place again.

Birthday get away.
It was my daughter’s 9th birthday and she wanted to stay the night in a hotel. There were two things I had an issue with. The deadbolt to the door wouldn’t lock so I had to use the hanger hack. And when the AC would come on it was a very loud noise coming from it.
