For $220 for one night & the pool to be ice cold, breakfast was "ok", had to ask for extra towels, stood & waited 10 minutes at the desk for an employee. A little steep on price per night.
Our room wasnât entirely clean. Dishes were left in the dishwasher. There were someoneâs eyelashes in the nightstand drawer and bathroom, there was a childâs belt left under the couch. We couldnât use our Apple TV because of some security feature and there was Disney on the tv for my children. Breakfast wasnât good. There wasnât healthy food, even REAL food. Just packaged egg biscuits, waffles with horrible ingredients (including the cooking spray, made with soybean oil, which is horrible for peopleâs health) and cereal which is a scam in and of itself. Had to pay to use laundry service, wasnât much but after paying $400 for two days, I donât believe charging to wash clothing is reasonable. Pool was very cold, and no hot tub.
I appreciated the friendliness of most of the staff and enjoyed the continental breakfast setup and options. However, the lack of communication during the power outage was concerning, especially since we were not locals and had no idea what to expect if the outage continued indefinitely. When we spoke with the front desk during the outage, they did not offer any reassurance or information.
We also requested a late checkout and were told that a 1pm checkout would be fine, with this information supposedly communicated to the staff. Despite this, a staff member knocked on our door around 12:15pm, informing us that checkout was at noon. There was no polite greeting or acknowledgment of the miscommunication, which was unprofessional.
Additionally, we found a note taped to the door stating that we should not leave bags of trash or soiled towels outside for housekeeping (though we had not left any towels). This policy was not mentioned during check-in or posted in the room, which would have been helpful. Seeing this note on our door left a negative impression.
Overall it wasnât a bad experience and I would definitely stay there again. I feel like there should be some training on professionalism and the importance of communication.
I tore my dress I was going to wear to a wedding, and I needed a needle and thread to repair it. My husband went down to the front desk, but the person did not have it. She called the hotel next door, and went over to get a little sewing kit. My husband offered to give her a few dollars, but she did not accept it, saying it was part of her job. We believe it was a service beyond the call of duty.
Also, the breakfast was tasty, and the premises and room were spotless. Thank you.
