I arrived at 2:15 just ahead of checkin. I was dismissed by the front desk, told to go sit and wait (don’t bother me was more the attitude). By 3:15pm I was advised I could now checkin. I asked about wifi…was told to just go online and purchase it. I did so, wifi did not work in room 109. I called the wifi provider, surprise, no answer and no return. I again attempted to email the wifi provider, no response. Three elevator (lift) was marked out of service but several times saw staff using it….I had to carry my bags up the stairs to 1st floor. Rm109 has an appalling view of a dirty roof where alll the smokers use the rooms to smoke in and throw butts outside….disgusting. Big mistake, staff were entirely indifferent to customer needs, only bar staff very pleasant. Would pay a few £$ more and go elsewhere.

Very disappointed for choosing to stay in hotel. Everything is old, dirty corridor, stairs, smelly rooms, dump. Cold at night, no heating. No extra blanket. Avoid it plz.

Two night stay
Stayed for 2 nights ,room ok with comfortable bed ,the only down side was i was on third floor and lift out of action and was still out of use through my stay ! Was a pain when my key card didnt work ! The room its self could do with a up grade ! But found it ok for my needs !

The reception staff are really welcoming.. I remember this hotel as the valley lodge many years ago it looks like it's undergoing a update and it just has a really nice vibe.. I'm having to stay 3 days till I complete my house and I'm a older lady alone here and I feel very safe and the extra bonus visiting a spa at a minimum cost

You get exactly for what you pay for. For its price, it gets the job done but I personally wouldn't stay here by choice. There was public wifi in the lobby and smoking areas but you were prompt to pay for wifi in your room. The staff were helpful but not enthusiastic. The grounds were dated and it showed.

Chech in was pain less. Rooms were immaculate, bathroom spotless. Hada great nights sleep on a comfy bed.breakfast next morning was outstanding Stayed here night before a two week holiday ,catching a flight from Manchester. Had i been guaranteed the weather I'd would of booked in here for a fortnight. Couldn't fsult the place

Very awful
Honestly, the room was dreadful . The chain on the door was broken no way of locking it. Dints in the wall where the door has been slammed open mould in the grout in the bath room. All paint work damaged big scratches on the wall . Internet was only in put places . Couldn't connect. No free WiFi in the bedroom charge of £7. Curtains didn't cover all of the window. No cash payments at all . Holes around the plug sockets ,when new plugs have been put in . Cannot up load photos
