This is an unusual but pretty much perfect bolthole for a stay in Winchester. The apartment (mine was 'the Little House' is immaculate with a stylish and slightly quirky decor - the antithesis of corporate hotel blandness. It has a seating area, spacious and light shower room and a mezzanine bed - very comfortable with the plumpfiest pillows I have ever slept on. Breakfast is is the kitchen/dining/sitting area which is shared with two other apartments - basics are provided (tea, coffee, bread, milk, eggs) with an honesty box (actually a little elephant) for any extras. For other meals, there are numerous excellent cafes and restaurants very close by, if you don't want to cook (the kitchen is well equipped). The location is excellent, being in a quiet courtyard off Parchment Street (which has interesting independent shops), and very close to the city centre shops, cathedral and other sights. It's also an easy walk down from the railway station (though a slightly harder walk back up the hill at the end of your stay!)
