Lake District lodge on popular holiday park. Close to Windermere and Ambleside.

Situated on the White Cross Bay resort.
Troutbeck 12 is a Delightful lodge with an open plan living area containing a lounge, kitchen and dining space. Outside, there is a front deck with dining table and chairs and access to the shared grounds. There is parking for up to 3 cars at the front, side and rear of the lodge. The on-site facilities are available to guests at an additional charge and includes use of a heated indoor swimming pool with spa bath, sauna and steam room. Activities can be booked in advance in the pool such as Water walking, Aqua jets and inflatable jetskis for huge family fun. For our younger guests, there is a play park area and regular activities hosted by the holiday park. The park includes a wonderful woodland walk, picnic area looking out across Windermere and the scenic fells of the Lake District and a marina onto Windermere - younger guests must be supervised at this lakeside area. With lots of amazing walking routes in the area and many places of interest, Troutbeck 12 is a great base for a family break.
Amenities: The Lodge has gas central heating and an electric heater in the lounge area. Kitchen has an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, TV with Freeview and Sky Sports 1 and 3, DVD, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent but please bring own towels for use in the onsite leisure centre. Front decked area with furniture. Shared grounds. There is an onsite grocery shop, BoatHouse Bar and Restaurant along with shared on-site laundry facilities (coin operated). Additional shops are a short 5 minute walk away as is the pub.

Great stay
We've come back from a lovely stay in windermere, the lodge was fantastic very clean and spacious for us all. Definitely recommend a visit to Brockhole which is a 10 minute walk away from the site, loads to do kept the kids entertained all day.

A perfect location for a family wanting to explore the Lake District
The property was great size-wise and the holiday park is fantastic for kids. The house was quite comfortable and just enough room for 2 kids and 2 adults. My only complaint is the sauna and steam room were out of order and looked like they had been for many months. I wish that was made clear in the listing.

Enjoyable stay at a well kept lodge in a pleasant and quiet location
Overall, very satifised with the lodge and with the prompt and efficient communication with my host. But the decking was very slippery as one came out of the door of the lodge , especially, after days of persistent rain whilst we were there together with some fallen leaves even though there were short[dry breaks in between. We recommend the host to give warning to be careful for folks using the lodge. My daughter fell on her bump resulting only in a nasty sored bump thankfully, and inevitably, was in a state of emotional shock as she came out of the door towards the steps to get into her car on the morning of our departure. Not something one would like to experience at the end of a lovely 3 day stay We were also very disappointed there were inadequate different bins or facilities in diferent convenient locations on the site for recycling the various types of things at the end of our stay including green waste, paper/ cardboard, plastics etc

The lodge is clean, well equipped, had plenty of space for our family of 5 with 3 young children, and also felt very COVID safe. Llinos and Jenny were very professional and responsive to my enquiries. Would love to come back for a longer stay someday!

Lovely break away near Windermere.
We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge, it was quite spacious for the four of us and for our young boys to play in. It was in a quiet spot which was great for us. The holiday park is nice but we didn’t take part in any of the activities or the entertainment as we prefer to do our own thing.

Very nice site even though the weather wasn't too good, plenty to see.
Good amenities in the main area, only comment I would make is the pool ought to be free in September second half. This would help in bad weather situations.
