I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a beautiful place to stay in the wine region of Nova Scotia. We had the one king in the sunny bedroom and it was absolutely gorgeous! The hard wood floors were so nice and the recently remodeled bathroom was very modern, clean, and spacious. Aside from the cleanliness, comfort, and beauty of the Inn and the room we stayed in, the staff (while not always present due to the contactless check-in/out) was very responsive when I had to text about a few questions we had. They got back to me right away and were very polite and helpful in their response. You can tell they take so much pride in keeping their Inn in excellent condition and comfortable and pleasant for their guests. Additionally, the free breakfast they offered was homemade and very delicious (and I'm not a breakfast person!). I would stay here again in a heartbeat if I'm ever in the area again.
This is my new number 1 favorite place to stay. Let me start with my most important point - cleanliness, this place is immaculate, very nicely renovated, very well thought out/planned, down to every detail, the flooring, everything. I love the contactless check in. Makes it very easy especially if you will be arriving late, no need to meet a deadline arrival. Communication is great. I got a text with all the specifics I needed. Now time for breakfast. The most amazing food I have ever had at any hotel. Homemade GF/DF granola, local sourdough bread. The quality and flavor of everything was superb. The staff were so friendly. The dining area was beautiful. The whole place has such a warm and cozy/homey feel to it. I went with my daughter and she absolutely oved it too. We are now going to make this a yearly trip of ours because it was so wonderful!
Wonderful stay at The August House! Our renovated room was comfy and cosy and the bathroom was gorgeous. Loved the thoughtful touches throughout the house including ice cream sandwiches in the kitchenette fridge! The hosts were super friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend and would definitely stay
again!
August house is a beautiful hotel. The common sitting areas were lovely as were the staff. The breakfast was a continental breakfast and was also excellent with yogurt and granola and baked goods made fresh by the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.
We had a wonderful reception, the owners friendly, kind, and helpful. We enjoyed our stay the beds were comfortable and clean, the bedroom was really nice and spacious, the design well laid out. The breakfast was tasty with a good variety to choose from.
The whole house was beautifully decorated with lovely colours, we loved it.
I recently had the pleasure of staying one night at this charming boutique hotel, and it was an exceptional experience. The property was beautiful and thoughtfully designed. They have cozy fire pits outside that created a warm and inviting atmosphere. They even provided kits for s’mores, which the kids absolutely loved!
The room was immaculate—super clean, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. They really thought out every detail when designing this hotel. They also offered a light delicious breakfast, which was the perfect way to start the day.
Overall, a fantastic stay for families or anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommend!

After coming down to eat breakfast at 10h10 , though it was 10h30 the cut off time…the person there just said sorry we are done at 10h00. She had plates full of food that she could have offered to us or even a cup of coffee…but instead just smiled ans said sorry breakfast is over. To me that is not customer service. If everything would have been cleaned no worries, but it just looked like she wanted to get it done and too bad for you.
Excellent clean spacious room, good breakfast, walkable into town in 5 mins, what more could you want.
My only comment is glass containers for the products in the shower could be dangerous if dropped

Spacious bedroom, efficient check in and lovely breakfast. Windsor as a destination is quite disappointing with limited dining and lacks vitality
The August house is a beautiful boutique accommodation. The decor is beautiful and the rooms and facilities fantastic, we loved the little attention to detail. The breakfast was lovely too. We would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone and hope to stay here again. Thank you for sharing your beautiful space.
We LOVED our stay at The August House. We were in town for a nearby wedding, and this was a perfect home base. Beautiful property, we felt safe and it was very quiet. Loved all of the little touches around the property. The self controlled AC was a bonus for two people who love a cooler temp, and the sound machine was a nice addition as well. Only good things to say. Will definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.
We found August House while planning to visit family in town. It was very conveniently located and easy to find. The decor was very cozy, beautiful, clean and thoughtful. It was such a pleasure coming home to this relaxing location at the end of our busy days. It is a shame we couldn’t stay for longer. Everything was so perfect, including the wonderful breakfast!
The check-in process was smooth and hassle-free. The room was large, clean and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the healthy breakfast with fresh fruits, homemade breads and granola.
Our stay was excellent, the room and overall house is very clean and the decor/design was beautiful and very well thought out! The breakfast included was delicious with very friendly staff. Wish we could stay longer and definitely will be back again!
What a unique place! Breakfast was fantastic, the decor is gorgeous, the little extras were very thoughtful and kind. We found it because we needed a room to sleep 3, which dramatically reduced the options for us, but what a gem we uncovered because of it! We had a great time playing trivia games and listening to your excellent vinyl collection in the lounge in the evening. Definitely would stay again if we’re ever back in town!
Beautiful historic home with friendly staff and complimentary breakfast ( you have to try the homemade yogurt!). Its central location was good for day trips into Wolfville, Anapolis Valley, Digby, Halifax and Hall’s Harbour.
