"What a lovely place. The hosts were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic. There was everything from cereal to full english. Cooked to order, and was delicious The room was clean and well equipped. Comfy bed. Snacks were a lovely touch. George the resident cat was friendly. 🐈 We went to the local pub to eat in the evening. 10 mins walk away. It was busy but they got us a table. :) They werent serving food but was a chippy van outside that you could take into the pub to eat. Huge portions and tasty. Thanks for lovely stay. We would stay here again. X"

"Great room, beautiful building and grounds, which are very well kept.. Food in Harry’s Bar was good. Lots of areas to sit and relax. Everywhere very comfortable. Spa looked good but didn’t have an opportunity to use it. Would recommend. X"

"Ashfield Lodge is in a very peaceful location but with easy access to main routes within a short distance. There are views of the garden and nearby fields. The Lodge has been tastefully designed and thoughtfully equipped. It was spotlessly clean throughout and the beds were very comfortable. There is off road parking next to the building. Simmie was very prompt with all communication and provided clear information in a helpful and friendly manner. She was very warm and welcoming, offering any help should it be required but her level of thorough preparation was such that nothing more was needed. A most enjoyable stay."

"Quite the best property we have ever rented. Comfortable beds and everything in the kitchen one could possibly want for self-catering - and all looking wonderfully hygienic and spotless. Three good bathrooms, including one with shower for the disabled. We were blessed with good weather for sitting in the wonderful garden."
