We first looked at the Motel across the street. It was terrible! Lake Roy was a nice clean facility the staff was very friendly, the only thing was we had to stay in a upstairs room and im handicap. They do not offer an elevator! Over all it was good !

Property right on lake. Nice area in back is great for sitting and relaxing. Parking was tight but I was very impressed with the cleanliness of room and property.

Diamond in the ruff
I loved the hotel, we got the room facing the lake. It was a lakefront room. We had chairs in a screen room, facing the lake. It was a bit older, but the serenity was awesome. The owners are a older Chinese couple, and they were great and polite. The lights on the wooden fence were beautiful, well maintained grass, and grounds. The room was great, comfy bed, and a spare blanket for cold nights. And the peace and quiet was great, unlike, modern hotels, you hear a lot of people, not this place.

Very old and outdated. Room was clean but smelled badly and needed much renovation. Dead bolt didn't work, paint needed on walls and doors, tv didn't work, shower wouldn't stop dripping and you could hear everything from the room next door through the adjoining door. Couldn't even get to sleep until after 2am when the people in the other room finally went to bed.

This place should not even be allowed to be open. The rooms were nasty, the stunk like someone had been in there and not took a shower for months, there were bed bugs, and not to mention the doors to the rooms would not even shut or lock. Most terrible place. Needless to say we did not stay there. We left and went down the road to the Best Western.
