Not what we expected
We get to the lower unit of a house and find out if is 50ft from very active train tracks. In addition the owner of the house who lives upstairs shows up with a large dog who stays off leash roaming around our rented unit, making it impossible for us to be outside with our dogs or even have the window coverings open. When the owner is not at home he leaves the dog inside and if we make any noise the dog starts barking and wont stop. We left early due to this and the property management would not refund the remainder of our stay.

While this place is spacious and nicely updated we did have a few issues. First off this place is about 20 ft away from train tracks. The trains come through quite frequently (4-5 trains every 24 hours) and are quite noisy. Also (which maybe we should have realized from the pictures) the entrance to the only bathroom is located in the bedroom. This works fine for 1-2 people but with 4 people staying there this was a problem. Finally this is a pet friendly apartment and you could tell. There was quite a bit of dog/cat hair throughout the apartment. Of note I did text the host about this and they offered to send a cleaning team back out but we declined and did some vacuuming of our own and used a different comforter on the bed. Overall an okay stay but a few things that could be improved upon or updated to be accurately reflected in the listing.

Not what it seems
Your description of the place should include that the owner that lives on the second floor of the home will be there. I have never rented out a portion of a house while the other portion was being occupied by the owner. He made sure that we didn’t feel welcome, no greeting, smile, nothing, when we would see him. It was so awkward. Next was the constant sound of furniture being drug across the floor that would come through the ceiling. This loud scrapping happened throughout our stay and was horrible to sit and listen to and we could hear every step that was being taken on the stairs even for an hour at 5:30 one morning. I don’t know if the family upstairs somehow doesn’t know that the walls are paper thin or they do know and just don’t care but it made for a uncomfortable stay.
