Awful
When checking in desk clerk couldnt get our cards to work. Tried 3 different ones. Finally next morning looked at bank account and it had went through bank. Couldn't talk to any of the workers there as we couldn't understand them or they were on the phone. Terrible service. The room smelled horrible. There was rotten ceiling tiles in the bathroom. Breakfast was an open container of cereal sitting out on the counter. People in town said they had heard bad things since these people took over. Never will stay here again.

Disappointing breakfast options
When we first arrived downstairs to have breakfast, the only things available were could cereal, oatmeal, and some oranges. There was no hot water so had to heat water in microwave for our oatmeal. When we were finished, the owner came in with groceries with more items. Some guests had already eaten and left.

Smelled like cigarettes, no elevator, construction garbage all around the front entrance, run down, the breakfast was all packaged items, coffee was empty. At check out no one came to the desk for 20 mins so we had to just leave the keys at the desk. Ceiling in the room was cracked and light fixture falling, sink and shower were dirty and very old

Room was clean, however itcwas very basic. No microwave or fridge. Only 2 wooden chairs. Breakfast was a bust. Only coffee, juice, a couple if cereal boxes abd fruit. For the price of the room I was disappointed in what was provided. Every night about 9pm there was banging and vacuuming downstairs beliw my room in the office/host living area. Next time I'll try the other hotel in town.

*NEW OWNERS Staff was friendly but a little disorganized and on their phones. When I got to my room on the first floor, my bed had a large broken area on the mattress and the room smelled quite musty. I asked to switch to a different room (which I have never done, ever) and was put in a smoking room on the second floor. I'm not a smoker. In the morning, breakfast was large boxes of cereal sitting open on the counter. I passed on that. Thankfully I only had to stay one night.

We arrived over an hour before check in. The gentleman who greeted us was very pleasant and accommodating and checked us right in. Our room is very comfortable and super clean. It is slightly dated. There is only one plug available to charge our phones. The bathroom fan was super loud. However, the cleanliness of the room, comfort of the bed and pleasantness of the staff overcome the slight negatives of our stay.

Hotel has new owners - BEWARE!
Be warned! the previous owners sold the property in May 2024 and the new owners seem inept. There was a tornado warning and all of the guests went to the first floor hallways for cover; none of the owners were present or even knocked on any doors to check to see if we were aware of the warning or safe. Breakfast consisted of store bought donuts (still in the package) and a couple of boxes of cereal. Check for reviews starting in May 2024 before you book this hotel; previous reviews no longer have bearing.
