The staff was welcoming and helpful. We decided to add a night last minute. The transition between rooms was quick and easy. Breakfast was delicious and there was a nice variety. The quiche was amazing!

Lovely property. If you are a light sleeper, I do not recommend a room on the ground floor since you can hear people walking upstairs all the time and the floor boards are squeaky. The breakfast selection is ample and healthy.

We had an excellent stay. Great location and accomodations. So much in a walkable distance. Lucked out and got live music at the outdoor Skate rink too. First visit to Winthrop did not disappoint.

Quaint, clean, rustic cabin with all of the amenities required for a short stay. Close to downtown Winthrop and local activities/restaurants. The hot tub was a very welcome bonus. Will go out of our way to stay again.

Perhaps the nicest accomodations of our 5 week road trip. Spacious, comfortable well appointed room with nice little balcony. Got to watch a family of deer visit the patio. Only 1 suggestions. Please put a nightlight in the bathroom. It's a bit hard to navigate in the middle of the night .

Fantastic place to stay clean nice. Walk to town. Downside there was only 19 channels on the tv and the only movie channels were blurry. The shower ran out of hot water in the first five minutes wasn’t draining very well. I would still recommend this hotel very rustic nice location town was fun.

Breakfast was very nice, grounds were nice, staff were great. Don't book the king room, itis in the basement with no windows OR air conditioning. Temperature is not controllable. There is a small step down inside the room which is a trip hazard. The room seems to be under the kitchen, no need for an alarm, we were awoken before 7 every morning, by heavy walking overhead. Might return, but definitely a different room.

Overall a good stay, but with some issues. Pros: Room has very good floor plan. The bathroom area is separated which shields noise. Fixtures are very nice. Sitting in a quiet part of town with easy access to activities. Pretty good vegan breakfast. Cons: Receptionist was friendly, but offered only VERY LIMITED information. We wish she told us the location of our room, breakfast hours, check out procedures, housekeeping notes, etc. There 5 remote controls in the room, all for different devices. Very confusing. There are cassette player, CD player, iPod docking station in the room. but NO USB port found anywhere. King bed has only 2 small pillows. And the pillows are VERY soft and lack of support. Shower head gives mist-like water. It's pretty but not very practical. Breakfast had no meat items. Good for vegan diet but not for most people. A none-working switch for room lights. Housekeeping did not sweep/vacuum the floor.

We rented the King cabin. It was nicely appointed and very clean. The hot tub was a great feature. We appreciated the added touch of robes. The cabin offered privacy from other guests. The check-in process was smooth and the homemade morning breakfasts were a nice bonus. We had the smoke alarms go off two nights in a row due to low batteries which jarred us out of sleep but the after-hours manager answered the phone immediately and the maintenance manager responded within 15 minutes to fix it. The only downside is that we had to drive to the main lodge to obtain the after-hours number at 1:30 in the morning. We will definitely be back again and we would recommend this location to guests wanting a location with easy access to downtown.

Perfect little cabins with so many things you could need provided for you. They were so quaint and quiet. Our kiddos loved exploring the woods out back. They had the absolute best warm breakfast in the mornings with quiches, waffles, fruit, all sorts of yummy pastries and breads. It’s walkable to everything in downtown Winthrop. I would absolutely stay here again!

The staff are awesome and so accommodating. Kelly and Jocelyn at the front desk truly care about making your stay the best. The parking can be a bit awkward but we didn’t have a problem finding the right place. Breakfast was yummy with a great selection. My husband had a medical emergency and everyone was so helpful to us. He’s fine and we’re home. We will definitely stay here again when we’re in Winthrop.
