This was my first time staying at a small boutique style hotel and it was okay. There was no air conditioning and it was a hot night. The walls and everything were thin so we could hear every conversation or step being taken in the halls. Had to kill several bugs at night. The positives were the relaxing jacuzzi tub in the bathroom which was really nice after a long day and the hot breakfast in the morning. I would consider coming back to stay but probably in one of the nicer rooms and in colder weather where I don’t need air conditioning.

Autumn Awesome
The inn is quiet and relaxing. The older buildings are nearly sound proof. Views of the fall colors, the river, and nearby park made it seem like a cabin. A full breakfast is included on the weekends. The buildings are older, so electric outlets are few and far between, but everything was clean and in good working order. Will stay here again.

Our unit had ladybugs constantly coming in through the windows & the outside door. Our fridge also had a really bad smell & didn’t even turn on. We went to the office to ask for help & the fridge still did not work at all.

The person who checked us in was very polite and made it very easy to get checked in. Also, provided us with direction of where we wanted to go. The room smelled unpleasant, the stairs to the room are kind of steep, there were bugs in the room, the floor was very dirty. I walked on it bare foot and had to wash my feet before I could put on my shoes and the bed was very uncomfortable.

Peaceful stay
We enjoy the White Rose. Our mattress needs to be replaced and the Newport room was colder than the rest of the house. The first day of our stay they ran out of eggs, biscuits, and coffee. They eventually brought more out, but needed to keep on top of it. The Sherman House is beautiful.

We had a few mishaps with our room and breakfast. However, the problems were immediately taken care off and the staff went above and beyond on making things right. It does need some cosmetic upgrades but the overall stay was worth the price. Plus you can walk to the strip so that’s a plus too.

I will start with the location is great for walking down town Wisconsin Dells. The property needs a lot of TLC, as it does not look anything like the photos on Hotels.com. The weeds overtake most of the property. The room was ok, that too did not look as it did in the photos posted on Hotels.com; it did have a great view. The bed was not very comfortable. In the common area, they did not replenish the coffee or cups each morning. The breakfast was cold, stated there was "biscuits and gravy" no gravy was in the warmer. The condiments were low and not replaced. All in all was very disappointed in my choice of staying here and would not stay again, nor would I recommend to anyone.

This was the perfect location for our downtown Dells trip. With a little attention to details (changing burned out light bulbs and carpet and furniture cleaning) this would be a beautiful stay.
