The approx. 1750 built wooden house (so-called. Strickbau) is located next to the Luchtenbächlein on the original footpath to Heiden in the "Vogelherd", not far from the village. The magnificent view of Lake Constance invites you to relax and linger. The joke way (just funny!) almost leads past the house. The other hiking routes in the hilly "Vorderland", in the nearby Biedermeier village "health resort Heiden" (baths!) or the excursion to St. Anton are attractive, as well as the trips to Lake Constance or to St. Gallen - this also thanks to the good connections with the PostBus. And a varied journey on the Appenzell rack railways (Heiden-Rorschach, Rheineck-Walzenhausen) is simply part of the holiday program!
