Streamside Cottage Half Mile to Town of Woodstock

Our stream side cottage is privately located on five park-like acres that are landscaped with beautiful gardens. Guests have access to the stream where you can swim, skip rocks, or simply sit and meditate on the nature all around you. We are less than a mile from the center of Woodstock, where you can find a wonderful assortment of restaurants, shops, art galleries and activities.

The cottage has everything you need to relax and enjoy a private getaway in the Hudson Valley. Our guests have all told us how perfectly situated this spot is.

Woodstock is an hour from the airports in Albany and Newburgh, 2.5 hours from JFK, Newark, and La Guardia airports, and a two hour drive from Manhattan. We are also in the area for popular ski areas - Belleayre - Windham and Hunter mountains.

The photos are accurate. The cottage is a separate building from the main house. The cottage building is part of a two car garage and is totally private. The main house is located on the property next door but not connected. We have a camera on our house pointing up the driveway, and none on or around the cottage.

Short getaway
Came to the cottage for some solitude and quiet between jobs. This was just what the doctor ordered. Close enough to town for easy access, but far enough away that it was always quiet and peaceful. Sitting in the chairs on the river was truly amazing. Jane was a fantastic host; would definitely recommend staying here, and would happily come back on my next trip to Woodstock.

Peaceful Relaxing Getaway
We were visited by 2 deer each evening and there is a resident ground hog which we enjoyed, Being able to walk to town is a stretch of the truth as the road is busy with no walking path however it is a very short ride. We had 2 good meals in Allason restaurant and caffe coffee shop is superb. I just wish we had a king size bed and a bit larger of a shower. All in all a very nice cottage with a lovely stream and a lot of tranquility.

Beautiful and Quiet
We were in town for an event at Levon Helm Studios, and because of the schedule for the rest of the week, we only booked the cottage for one night. That said, we both felt that we wished we could stay a while, a long while, like live there. The property is beautiful, and the cottage is immaculate and Jane has exceptional taste in how the cottage was built, and decorated. It is a beautiful, inviting space, If you are looking for a space to feel at peace with the world, this is it.

Peace, Love and Woodstock
An absolutely wonderful streamside cottage so close to downtown Woodstock. The cottage was perfectly equipped and peaceful indoors and out. Jane is a wonderful host. The trip will bring you memories of the peace and love hippie generation, and all of the great music that went along with it. Excellent place to stay in a great, or should I say, groovy location.

A lovely upstate getaway
I took a short trip with my sister and niece to Woodstock. Jane was so helpful and communicative before and during this trip. The cottage was absolutely adorable. It was clean and cozy. The creek in the back of the house just added to the pleasantry of the area. Woodstock is a short walk and even shorter drive filled with eclectic restaurants and shops. 11/10 would definitely recommend!

Serene Cottage and Excellent Homebase for Adventures
The hostess reached out well before our stay with check in details and other local information. We stayed in early May. The main house and cottage are located down a long drive. The cottage sits a little off to the side with the bedroom/office facing the river. The layout of the cottage is very efficient. We especially enjoyed the front mudroom and staging area perfect for storing muddy hiking boots and backpacks. Our week long state was magical. Coffee in the Adirondack chairs next to the river and then day tripping to grand adventures to hike near the Hudson River Valley, or in the Catskills. Woodstock is just a two minute drive. Good shopping, dining, and there is a main grocery store. We highly recommend this location and this cottage!!! A bonus for us was the additional "host" doodle 😃 as we were missing our own pets. A little ball catch-n-retrieve warms the spirit . Thanks Jane!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jane's cottage. Jane made booking and check-in a smooth process. The cottage was very clean and supplied with all the amenities one would need. We loved listening to the creek through the screen door. One night we walked to the Millstream Tavern for a drink and then across the street to Cucina for dinner. Sweet Cottage on the Creek
My sister and I needed a quick getaway from the world and found refuge in this sweet little cottage that is right on the creek. The cottage was pristine, fully eqipped, quiet and tastefully decorated. My communication with the owner, Jane, was "easy breezy". Our favorite part of our stay were the sights and sounds of the water! It was truly magnificent. This cabin was as advertised - and even better! It appears to be recently renovated which the owners did a great job with. The view and accessibility to the creek and the peaceful retreat it offered was just what we needed. The proximity to the center of Woodstock was also a huge plus.
