Carriage house to historic 1861 home. One bedroom, queen bed with en suite bathroom. Full kitchen, open-plan living room with sofa bed and lovely view of the Ottaquechee River. Located on a peaceful, discreet cul-de-sac. Serene pastoral setting abutting Billing's Farm fields, and yet within easy walking distance to Woodstock Village center. Conveniently located next to Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Park and Mansion with easy access to miles of Park hiking/biking/cross country ski trails.

This charming carriage house is right on the river but so so quiet! We love the walkable location close to downtown and the proximity to all the trails. Perfect for a couples' getaway!

A quiet place for two
This property was not secluded, per se, but it felt like it! Properties on both sides were vacant, our stay was quite private and very quiet. Of course it was mid-October, and mid-week, so less people in Woostock in general which is what we expected/wanted. Enjoyed walking from the property to the downtown area of Woodstock. Just a half mile each way, easy even for us at age 72. Propery had all the "supplies of home" and more so in the bathroom. A very nice experience.

Perfect Weekend in Woodstock!
We thoroughly enjoyed staying here: clean, cozy, and so quiet! You can walk to town easliy, and it’s just beautiful crossing the river and strolling by the historical stately homes.

Adorable place to stay! Location can’t be beat!
This carriage house is the perfect mixture of quiet and private yet close to everything! Truly the location can’t be beat. As mentioned in several other reviews, this cozy carriage house is within walking distance of downtown and several walking trails. Home is well appointed and views from every window this fall were stunning! We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Perfect spot to enjoy Woodstock!
This was a great spot, super quiet and relaxing and an incredibly convenient location to enjoy downtown Woodstock as well as the Marsh-Billings Rockefeller Park and Billings Farm. The apartment was super clean, the bed was comfortable, and the backyard was amazing. Will definitely stay here again!

Location location location
The pictures don't do this two-room cottage justice. Clearly thoughtfully updated by an architect's hand, the main room is spacious, with voluminous high ceilings and beautiful lighting. Furnishings, kitchen appliances, and supplies, as well as bed linens, are all top-notch. But what makes this property especially unique is its location adjacent to the Billings Farm property's fields and abutting the river that flows through Woodstock. Private stairs lead to the river for summertime swims. The walk to the general store is five minutes. To be sure we stayed here for an extended period and although comfortable for two adults, four may be a stretch (two are designated on a foldout and the primary is a queen), if only for the diminutive size of the bathroom, which is located in the bedroom. For a weekend or a week, the location can not be beat!

Lovely convenient spot for hiking
We had a wonderful stay. The host was very responsive to an initial concern we had upon arriving. The property is an easy walk to several shops and restaurants and hiking in a national park and a working farm is very close by. The location is quiet and the scenery is lovely. The property was even cuter in person - the pics don't do it justice! Location was perfect for walking to town, hiking, and the farm. Comfortable and all we needed for a girls weekend. Definitely recommend!

Charming, well equipped cottage walking distance to town. Host Rachel is easily accessible, friendly, helpful and accommodating. I would recommend this cottage to friends and family and definitely stay again when returning to the area.

Lovely ski weekend
I booked this place for myself and friends to come ski for the holiday weekend. ~30 drive to Killington was very doable. We had a full house and it was cozy, but doable for close friends. House was well-stocked and beds were comfy. We had one car and being walking distance to town allowed some of us to ski and others to stay without being stranded at home. We so enjoyed our stay and the town of Woodstock, and will absolutely consider rebooking in the future. Host was communicative and accommodating. Thank you for a great weekend!

Woodstock wedding stay
We stayed here for a wedding and it was the perfect location. Easy walk to everything downtown. It slept 4 adults, bed in the master and a large comfortable pull out couch. The owner was especially quick with responding to messages during our stay. Highly recommend!!
