Escape to this tranquil 3-bedroom cabin retreat in Haverhill, New Hampshire. We are located in Moutain Lakes in the White Mountains - just over the border from Vermont. This log home is the perfect setting for a cozy family vacation, or a weekend get away with friends!
The house has 3 floors - each one has its own bedroom and bathroom, so everyone has some privacy. Enjoy the convenience of amenities like AC window units, Wi-Fi, TV, some games, and a fully equipped kitchen.
Do you want to stay and relax in one spot? Mountain Lakes is a rural community with paved and dirt roads weaving around 2 lakes with plenty of swimming, fishing, and non-motorized boating in warm weather, and skating, sledding, and nearby skiing in the winter.
You can enjoy the beautiful setting of this waterfront home - whether you're relaxing on one of the decks, paddling the included canoe or 2 kayaks, relaxing on the private dock, or eating smores gathered around the fire pit. At the other end of the lake (a short 2-minute drive) you have full access to the Mountain Lakes amenities (lifeguarded beaches, outdoor community swimming pool, snack bar, basketball and tennis court in the summer). Amenities such as gas, grocery store, restaurants, etc. are 15 minutes away.
Are you itching to explore? Mountain Lakes is a 4-season location. Just minutes away from Route 302 which leads to the Kancamagus Highway offering beautiful leaf peeping and access to the many ski areas, hiking trails, and popular attractions in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Only 35 minutes to Cannon and Loon Mountains, and 55 minutes to Bretton Woods and the Cog Railway at the base of Mount Washington.
The quaint town of Littleton with the popular Schillings Beer Company is 30 minutes away. Lincoln/Woodstock are also 30 minutes away if you want to browse the shops or visit places such as the Flume Gorge, Clarks Trading Post, the Whales' Tale, or Alpine Adventures. Whether you want to hit the slopes in New Hampshire or Vermont, climb up to Franconia Ridge or one of the 4,000 footers, or go to popular White Mountain attractions, we hope you will enjoy your stay at our cabin - your home away from home.
A few notes:
* We are the new owners of this property which was rented out by the previous owners and received great reviews. We are looking forward to continuing this tradition and are always open to your feedback and suggestions.
* The lawn to the lake is sloped, so please be aware if you have mobility issues. Also, some people prefer to swim from our boats or at the nearby beaches rather than directly off the dock due to some weeds at certain times of year.
*Cell phone reception can be limited in the mountains depending on your carrier, exact location, and the weather. The house does have great Wi-Fi so you can use that for calls if needed. However, in the event of a storm internet and cable service can be interrupted.
