Bird Hill - An Amazing Place to Stay, with nature at every window

WHAT YOU CAN LOOK FORWARD TO AT BIRD HILL:
If you like nature, birds, wildlife, peace and quiet, privacy and a central location for touring, Bird Hill is the place for you.

Bird Hill is a cosy, character filled home that's comfortable in every way. Great for everyone, the whole family, friends, couples, singles.

Bird Hill offers the whole package for a restful and true vacation, where olde world meets modern in a tasteful combination with nature at every window.

It was built as a holiday home and it still remains so today. It is an experience with a positive difference and one we hope will provide meaningful and long lasting memories for you.

A lot of care goes into preparing the cottage for your stay, from making it spotlessly clean to providing many special touches. We don't skimp on the products that are available for your use at the cottage, both in the bathroom, the kitchen and around the house.

We've also made sure that our furnishings are comfortable, practical and blend in with the theme in each room and that the beds are as comfortable as can be, with quality mattresses and linen.

The kitchen contains most things that you would need and more. There is an abundance of cooking things, quality crockery, plenty of cutlery and glasses of all types.

The wood heater makes for an extra cosy Winter's night and is very effective in heating the whole cottage. Of course it can be backed up with the gas ducted heating or used instead of a fire. There is a very effective air con system when the weather warms up. Each season brings something new to Bird Hill,

Bird Hill has a soulful and peaceful atmosphere with nature at every window. The private back deck allows an up-close view of the array of birds who visit. Some will even eat from your hand. It's an awesome experience.

We would say Bird Hill is a bird lovers haven although there is also an abundance of butterflies, amphibians, reptiles and other wildlife.

There are a lot of flowers, fruit and nut trees, vegetable gardens and herbs growing in the grounds, which you can use while you are at Bird Hill.

Never heard of Woori Yallock? It's in the Yarra Valley, on the way to Warburton, not far from Healesville. It is a stone's throw from wineries and artisan produce outlets as well as many touristy hotspots if that's what you are in to. If you are touring, it is perfectly situated to allow you to explore the wider Yarra Valley area including the Dandenong Ranges. And if you want to escape the crowds, it is perfect for you too.

There are so many great things about Bird Hill. Try a short stay or a longer vacation and see for yourself. We know you won't be disappointed.

GUEST ACCESS:
The host does not live on the site -The entire cottage and private grounds (1 acre), will be just yours alone to explore during your stay.

OTHER DETAILS:
We know that cleanliness is something that you deserve when you stay at Bird Hill and that's why a lot of effort is put into preparing the cottage for your stay.
Each and every room is thoroughly cleaned after each guest, right down to the light and lamp switches, bed heads, door and cupboard handles, kitchen stools as a few examples to highlight the detail.

All sheets, quilt covers and towels are laundered, sanitised and pressed for your comfort.

Your enjoyment and comfort is paramount to us when you choose to say at Bird Hill.

There is a train at Lilydale, so you could in fact catch public transport all the way to Bird Hill if you wished to reduce your carbon footprint even more, as the bus stop is easy walking distance to Bird Hill.

Bird Hill is magical
Visited in winter, too cold to meet the wombat but it was very beautiful. Despite the chill we spent hours on the back porch watching the view. Fed the parrots, and even had a possum hang out on the deck with us two nights in a row. Very clean, and very well stocked. Will most likely be back!

Nature lover's paradise
Amazing experience. The property has beautiful landscape, and rain forest like apperance. My kids hand fed the kings parrot. Fresh herbs added flavour to dishes. The kitchen was so well organised, my wife was extremely impressed. Wood heater added to the vibe and charm of stay. This is paradise for nature's lovers.

Amazing getaway
My partner, friend and I absolutely adored our stay at Bird Hill. Ally was incredibly helpful and you can tell she takes great care of bird hill along with genuinely wanting the visitors to have an amazing stay with putting the heater on before we arrived, leaving some chocolates for us, going to the effort of having a book of printed menus of places for food and a book for locations we could visit, board games for families and bird seed to feed the birds that come right up to you. This was a perfect getaway and felt like a home away from home. Thankyou Ally, we loved our time spent here!!!

Lovely country getaway
Such a cute cottage, cosy and comfortable and very well-equipped - especially the kitchen. Lovely winter garden and abundant bird life. Great location near the Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges and some great walking tracks. My teenage son and I needed to press the pause button for a couple of days and this was the perfect place for it.

A gorgeous little cottage
I stayed here with my adult son and it was just perfect. An easy drive to the attractions in Healesville and bushwalks around Warburton. After doing plenty of bushwalking during the day, it was lovely to relax, snug and warm, with the central heating and watch a movie in the evening with Netflix.

The property was cosy, it had personality, it was warm, inviting, clean and we loved being there. It was a last minute booking (morning of) and our host Ally was so incredibly accomodating, she has put a lot of thought into what a guest might need and we highly recommend booking a stay in this beautiful cottage!

Bird Hill is a cozy cottage with well equipped home to the smallest detail. All appliances and fireplace worked to the best. The well stocked board games was a hit to keep us family of 4 entertained.
