PET FRIENDLY COTTAGES are only minutes from Mount Gambier at 17 Kavanagh Road, Worrolong, on a 5-acre property. The setting is quiet and peaceful with an abundance of birdlife, set amongst manicured gardens with plenty of room to walk your dog or just enjoy the fresh air.

The property is home to two cottages; Collie Cottage (1 bedroom) and Kelpie Cottage (2 bedrooms). Please see description below for accurate midweek and weekend pricing.

A short 30-minute drive to Port Macdonnell, the lobster capital of S.A., also an amazing rugged limestone coast to admire.
The majestic Glenelg River is also 30-minutes away.
Visit the many caves and sinkholes in the area, including the beautiful Princess Margaret Rose Cave among others.

Lovely stay
We were welcomed for our stay and all our needs were met. Lovely to have a secure yard for the dogs to run around safely in. Kelpie Cottage was clean and tidy upon arrival and is located in a wonderful quiet and peaceful environment. Overall we had a very nice stay.

Thoughtful touches
Thanks Russ & Pauline. The little extras, communication and thoughtful touches were greatly appreciated. The property and walks were enjoyed by myself and our fur baby whilst the boys were off mountain biking. The location is serene but only a short drive to the action in town. Everything was comfortable and accommodating. We’ll be back next October long weekend. Thanks again for having us :))

Friendly host whom we were fortunate to meet on arrival. Such a warm & welcoming stay for our family of 4 & 2 pups. Our dogs felt so at home as the amount of care for pets at this property is outstanding. Beds were super comfy & the house was very clean. Our kids loved the area as there is plenty of farm animals around. Thank you so much for our special stay & the extra special touches on arrival. Bread, wine, chocolates, milk & condiments really added to the homely stay…oh & especially the fresh eggs. Thank you!

Loved it!
Such a beautiful place to stay and so nice to hear the stories of all the animals from the hosts. Really appreciated the provisions as we had a full car so didn’t bring much food, plus the secure yard for the doggo was brilliant to know they didn’t need to be on lead the whole time. Highly recommend it as a place for travellers with dogs.

Russ and Pauline are a lovely couple. They provided us with adequate information to reach the property. The fridge was filled with bread milk, eggs, wine..Kids loved feeding the sheep and having a tour in the farm. Our little pup loved his stay too

Pet perfect
Complete pet haven although we didn’t take a pet it was set up very well for one. They can be in the house and on the lounge or bed with you there was leads, food, treats and beds. For the humans the bed was heaven it was so soft and the pillows were like sleeping on a cloud. Bread, Juice, Eggs, Milk, Cereal, Wine and Chocolates supplied along with tea and coffee was pleasantly surprised by what was there. Host very friendly on arrival and departure but respected our privacy while there

Best place we have ever stayed.
Kelpie cottage was the most amazing place we have ever stayed. Russell was so kind and very caring and went above and beyond for us. The cottage was clean and inviting and loved all the dog related decor. It was great having a huge secure yard for the dogs to enjoy. It's also in a great location, close to Mount Gambier and surrounded by amazing farm land. We would recommend this place to anyone especially if you are staying with pets! Our 2 pups loved exploring and we cannot wait to be back in the near future! You will not regret staying here!!

PEACEFUL COTTAGE
We spent 5 nights at Kelpie Cottage with our dogs. The accommodation provides everything you could need for a short stay. Electric stovetop proved a little problematic (couldn’t get the heat down low enough) but everything else was great. Bottle of wine, breakfast supplies, firewood, lovely comfy recliner chairs, nice hot shower, comfy bed. We had business to do in town and the cottage filled the bill nicely.

This was a perfect stay for our family and dog. Well set up with dog yard and pet-friendly accommodation. The rural setting was perfect for us as it was a short walk to the forest, or a short drive to Mt Gambier. Thanks for the stay!

Ideal country stay close to town for family and pets!
Communication from the owners was fantastic and Kelpie Cottage had everything needed for a cozy stay with our dog! We absolutely love the country feel and how tranquil the area is. The property is also so close to town, the tourist attractions and not far from the beaches and coast! Highly recommend and would love to come back again! Thank you!

The cottage was lovely and homey. The rocker/reclines in the lounge were the same as we have at home which was great. The beds were super comfy. The yard and surrounds was a great space for our dogs. We will definitely stay there again

Perfect place for your fur baby & family!
We had a wonderful stay at Pet Friendly Cottages. The accomodation was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The pillows were great quality and bed super comfy, which made my husband very happy! We loved the cute little touches for pets, like dog bowls and beds, which I am sure made our fur baby feel very welcome! Russ and Pauline were lovely hosts who kindly let us meet some of their gorgeous animals. We will definitely be returning on our next trip to Mt. Gambier!

Great Cottage for a get-away with your Furry Friend!
Pauline met us at the gate with the keys and was super friendly. Russ was happy to answer any questions throughout the stay. Kelpie Cottage is just like the photos, with updated linen and paintings, a lovely spot to stay out of town and very welcoming of dogs. We were supplied with lovely little extras like continental breakfast and fresh eggs as well as choccy and wine on arrival. Our dog loved the outdoor space and coming indoors. One spoilt pup! Thank you so much, we hope to stay again.

It was the perfect Christmas stay
This cottage had everything we needed. Wifi, Netflix, clean rooms, comfortable beds, huge bathtub with spa, well organised kitchen with food for breakfast. We enjoyed BBQ at deck, feeding lovely animals. The property manager was very nice and helpful. We had good privacy with quiet environment. Thank you so much. It was the great holiday.
