Nice hotel with great location
We enjoyed staying in this hotel for 5 nights. Room was spacious, clean, and with cigarette odor. We had requested a non-smoking room. The hotel serves excellent breakfasts, 7-9 am, with Chinese and western foods. The hotel staffs at the front desk and in the dining room are quite friendly and helpful. Overall we had a very good experience staying in this Days Inn City Centre Xi'an.

Worth it for the location
FANTASTIC location and super clean, but they need to work on their customer service...they have a few English-speaking staff, but when I called from my room, the staff hung up on me instead of transferring me to an English-speaking colleague. For more details, check out my review on my blog, Trekking with Becky. :D

Days Inn City Centre Xi'an
The hotel is a little bit run down but the staff is phenomenal. And wow to their breakfast - just outstanding. The main problem is that taxis do not want to take you there from the train station because it is pretty close - well close is relative when you have no idea where you are. Once I knew the way it is close.

Started bumpy but ended good
We arrived very early in the morning, around 5:00 am. The front desk person spoke no English. We ended up with a not real nice room with 3 beds. Then instead of breakfast for two days, our passes were only for the second day. I called a Chinese friend to help me. In the end, we were provided breakfast for both nights of our stay, and moved to a room as requested with a king size bed and even much nicer.

I recommend this hotel
It was a very nice hotel at a place with a lot of stores around. Just one block from a subway station. It has the name of "Days Inn", but it's way better than the Days Inn I'm familiar with back in the States. Room size was huge; bath room was clean; the lighting and other setups were like one of those 4 or 5 star hotels in the States. The included breakfast had a variety of good food. And the hotels.com price was only a fraction of the "walk-in" prices as listed at their check in desk.

day's hotel
A good hotel central in side xian city walls. close to all the historical attractions. The rail station that is a drop off and pick up for the airport shuttle and the bus service to the terracotta army is a steady 15 min walk away you do have to pay approximately £20 refundable deposit on arrival

Nice inexpensive hotel close to places of interest
I stayed there for just over two weeks during Chinese Spring Festival. I feel that I received far more service and value than what I paid for.

Beds
We had a tour guide who picked us up at Train Station and she is the one who made sure our rooms were on the same floor. The language barrier was therefore covered by that. The beds are very hard and low to the ground. This is not the expectation for most North Americans, the rooms have been updated and are very comfortable.

Great location
Great location, mins from train station, muslim street. Triple beds room suited our needs perfectly, though kids complaint that beds were hard. Staff booked us in early without question, greatly appreciated. Aircon took a long time to cool place down. Breakfast had great spread, but didn't taste good. Overall, pretty satisfactory stay, and will stay again if going to Xian.

could be better...
definitely this lacking in maintenance and cleaning, rooms are big but very old and are not clean, the bathroom needs attention, the ceilings also, this in an area downtown in the middle of many restaurants, shops as well is that I liked the area which is very safe and quiet, workers speak very limited English, for tours travel agency that there are there fulfills what it promises but don't you pay everything without racing my first excursion was fast and I couldn't take the second half

in center of town
Beds were incredibably hard but hear that may be the norm in China, really hard to sleep on. Hotel old needs new decorating but as gone all day on tours not bad. No fridge in room and only one tv station in english. Large room with three single beds for the three of us better than having to have a roll away in other hotels during our trip to Chinea. Breakfast buffett is included and one of the better meals had on our trip, mixture of chinease and western and hot. Across the street and on the left corner is a huge food court of local foods , found in the lower level of this building, really cheap and good also a bakery there, most do not speak english but try hard and show you the amount on the calulator, would recommend this for evening meals and snacks, we went both evenings. Once again there is a deposit added to your credit card and also a 500 yuan deposit to use the hotels safety deposit ?? As gone all day on tours served the purpose.

Terrible stay, not as advertised. Don't risk it.
I travel very regularly, and this was the worst stay I have ever had. It's also the first time I've wrote a review. I stayed here for four nights and booked the deluxe room in order to have in room wifi and a mini fridge. The mini fridge did not work, despite trying everything. Our food ended up spoiling. The wifi did not work in the room either, so we had to use it in the lobby. We told the staff it wasn't working in the room and their response was always, "yes it is." Then they gave us the stink eye for using wifi in the common areas, and encouraged us to leave. The plug on the bathtub did not work, and was lodged shut, so I had to bail the tub into the sink after showers. With regard to the TV, only half of the buttons on the remote worked. The safe did not work, it was locked shut when we arrived. One day we told room service that we didn't want any cleaning, however they still disturbed us four more times despite the do not disturb being on the door. The room was very loud, both from the hallway, and due to the way the window was structured, in a way that it was always open, overlooking the main street. Don't use the massage facilities, I won't go into it here.

Good loc, not such good hotel
This hotel is in a great location with breakfast, but during our 3-day stay, bath tub leaked twice and the bathroom has a moldy smell. We do not expect too much out of daysInn, but leaky bathtub is a bummer.

Convenient to Muslim quarters and activities. Only real drawback is staff did not speak English which made difficult, but not impossible. Would have expected better English speaking desk clerks for hotel that caters to foreign tourist.

Very helpful staff, great location.
The location is superb, clean room, fast Internet and close to public transports and some major attractions in Xian: drum tower, bell tower and muslim quarter. Some staffs speak basic English. I don't know other hotels, after stayed 3 nights, personally I highly recommend this hotel considering the price, location and facilities if you are heading to Xian. The staffs are also very nice and very helpful, very professional. I definitely will stay again in this hotel.

Good hotel, we travel with a 10 year old boy, room was clean and maintained that way during our stay. Staff was always helpful. Hotel is conveniently located and you can walk to the attractions of this "old" city.

OK for the price
I stayed here for two nights. The hotel offers a free breakfast which was more Chinese style and did not start until after 8 AM. The internet was blocked even more than what China already blocks. The hotel gives you two small bottles of free water in the room each day. It was a good hotel for the price.

Great location within city center
The hotel was easy to find and conveniently located on a main street within the city. Staff was helpful and polite. They provide complimentary buffet-style breakfast and sauna (male guest only though). Overall a nice hotel for its price.

Central location
Hotel is situated in the center of the city is we coulfd walk to the North Gate, Bell Tower and Muslim st, Hotel staff could not find my reservation but did honor it when I showed them my copy. They tried to tell me breakfast was not included when it was. Wifi worked the first few hours then not until the next morning when the tech fixed it. We never were able to use the WiFi from our room the next night. Decent place for the price but be prepared to prove what you paid for.
