Nice place to stay
We really enjoyed the house, pool and the beach which was quiet and nearby. It is quite a hilly area and 15 minutes to amenities but manageable. Most of the nearby, local type restaurants were closed Monday to Wednesday.Jose was easy to reach for any questions. Good time over all. Thank you!

10 Friends went on a Week long adventure. The accommodations were great. A little bit off the beaten track but great otherwise. Did the El Yunge Rainforest as well as Icacos Island. Communication was great.

Perfect house
There were two couples and two single people. The house was perfect. There is a bonus outdoor shower. The house is well stocked with kitchen equipment, there was extra sunscreen, aloe, and a cabinet with staples such as olive oil, vinegar, spices, sugar, etc. they have a Bluetooth speaker available. we cooked dinner in several nights, Ralph’s grocery store is about 13 min away. La Carreta by Patty’s restaurant is 3 min away and is fantastic, the family who runs it is so friendly. the walk to the beach is 3 min, there is a calm part to swim in but also if you are good at body surfing the waves were good for that. The house has beach chairs, and beach towels. We would stay there again.

Wonderful family get together
We had a great vacation with our family that included three grandchildren 4 and under. The bedroom layout was perfect, and the common areas a good size for a large group. The outdoor space and pool was perfect--we really appreciated the way we could choose sun or shade when outdoors. Loved the gazebo! Outdoor shower worked well and helped keep the house clean. Lots of games for the kids. Plus, the instructions and restaurant recommendations were clear and good. Thanks for a great visit!

Christmas Vacation
The property is gorgeous and incredibly well maintained. It's secluded, yet still very accessible by car from San Juan. My family had a wonderful time relaxing by the pool, wandering along the beach, and gathering in all of the areas inside and outside of the home. Madeline and Jose added many nice touches including holiday decorations which made us feel right at home. You could not ask for better hosts.

Beach and pool quiet getaway
The house was perfect, plenty of room for 6 of us. Very clean and well organized, and the pool and outdoor area had a lot of seating and hanging out space. It's very quiet in the neighborhood, beautiful views of the surrounding beach and trees. Would recommend and stay there again.

Fantastic Place to Stay
My family and I stayed at Casa Amapola for the Thanksgiving week. It is very serene, with amazing ocean and mountain views. The house is very clean, the pool is great, everything works, nothing more you could ask for. The house is in a gated community, and it’s close to all the restaurants and nightlife. Things are really jumping from Thursday - Sunday, and very relaxed the other nights. The house is very close to shopping too, super convenient. We will be staying there again in the future for sure, thank you for everything José and Madelline! See you soon!

All we could ask for and more!!
This house was perfect for our long weekend getaway! The pool was enjoyed by all and being a quick walk to the beach for some shell searching was a bonus. The neighborhood is a gated community so this added an extra layer of security and comfort for all. Thank you to Jose & Madeline for opening your house to us and thinking of so many little details to make it so our stay was truly relaxing and low stress! Only very minor thing we had trouble with was understanding where to park. If we had arrived in the day and not in the rain, we probably would have seen it clearer but took us a bit at 10p to understand we were parking on the street and close to the front fence. We got it figured out though and with that being our only very small issue clearly this is a perfect house for a vacation destination!! Just wish we had had more days there!!

Jose was always just a text away if we needed anything. Hurricane took out the power to the house. We had solar power which took care of almost everything. There was 9 of us total and we had a blast. I recommend the snorkeling out of fajardo beach.

This place was perfect for us. The pool was relaxing & getting to the beach was easy & within a 2 minute walk. Anytime I had a question Jose got back to me quickly. It was close to a grocery store & other small stores. EL Morillo was our go to spot to get food. So if your looking for a nice quiet place to take your family I would highly suggest Casa Amapola 🤗

We booked our vacations at Casa Amapola after reviewing lots of other rentals and I have to say that Madeline and José have done a beautiful job with this property. The pool area provided my family with the perfect atmosphere to build unforgettable memories. The kitchen was nicely equipped and I was able to cook with the confort of my home. More than a house a home
The web pictures don’t do the property justice. The space is classic Spanish style and has more than ample room to acomódate our family for the month. The beach within view and the pool were all we needed to relax and l unwind from our life back home. We hope to return one day as this was a true home away from home experience. Puerto Rico family adventure
Our family vacation was a dream come true. The vacation home was close to the beach so we could walk there. The home is spacious with a wonderful pool. The air conditioning works great since it was humid when we went. There are plenty of big rooms to accommodate a big group. There is a barbq which we enjoyed using. Jose was helpful in providing information on activities, grocery stores and emergency services. The kitchen is well stocked if you choose to cook. We hope to return again.

Amazing stay
We had an amazing time at Casa Amapola! This was our first time to Puerto Rico but it truly felt like a home away from home. The neighborhood was quiet, and well kept. We hit the nearby beach daily and finished the each day in the pool. This was an all around perfect vacation spot.

Every Detail Thought Of
Casa Amapola is more well-stocked and thoughtfully prepared than any vacation home I’ve stayed in over the years. Anything we thought we needed, we found- even birthday candles! The house is even better in person than it looks in the photos, otherwise everything is as described. We were so comfortable and felt at home very quickly. Everything was clean (they even have robotic vacuums!) and comfortable, including the beds. The beach is a short walk and is beautiful. We would definitely stay again.

Great beach house in a quiet location
The property was clean, and thevpictures were accurate. There are beautiful ocean views from the balcony, along with the sound of the crashing waves. The owner was very responsive, and accommodating, our flight out was not until later in the evening, and he very generously allowed us to stay until the afternoon for no additional charge. The beach is a short and easy two minute walk. The beach is beautiful and secluded, with very few people. Great time, would definitely stay here again! Thank you!

Gorgeous property in a beautiful location. Property had everything we needed. Well equipped to eat in and cook in a well appointed kitchen. Top notch outdoor grill we loved. I loved the pool and the balcony view of the ocean. Easy access to a beautiful beach for swimming and a shallow area for good snorkeling. My only disappointment was that the turtles didn't hatch while we were there. :) Absolutely loved this beautiful home that easily accommodated two families and would go back to Casa Amapola in a heartbeat. Gorgeous weather was icing on the cake. Was sad to leave. Felt very safe.
