The pool is electrically heated - at no extra charge - during winter months (01 Nov-31 March inclusive). The temperature is digitally pre-set to 29 degrees - as any warmer can make swimming uncomfortable.
From April to October the pool will also average high-twenties just by using the thermal pool-cover at night.

We had a lovely stay. This villa is within walking distance of the beach, restaurants etc. Our boys don’t like to sit in the sun but the lounge was comfortable and there’s plenty of comfortable areas to sit in the shade.

An oasis in the sun
This is an amazing property in a beautiful area, Playa Blanca. The property is a perfect size to host a family and the outside space including a large pool is just incredible. Small supermarkets are accessible close by with larger supermarkets available in the centre of town. Easy access to Playa Dorada, Playa Blanca and Rubicón Marina. All beautiful places and well worth a visit. Eimear is fantastic host, the best that we have ever had! I would unreservedly recommend this property to anyone!

Spacious family villa
Lovely villa with plenty of seating areas inside and outside for a family or friends, garden/pool area bigger than it looks in the photographs. Heated pool a perfect temperature in November and the property was very well sheltered and private. Well situated for the Marina and town with easy access by car. Not a criticism of the villa but the noise from the nearby Hotel was obtrusive when the zumba/excerise classes were on in the morning, only for an hour or so but if I was a resident I'd be asking for the PA system to be turned down. Stayed in the area before and not heard it so maybe a one off week? Still, had a great week and would happily book the villa again, one of the best we have stayed in around that area.

Nice all round villa.
The villa is in a good location, approx. 15 minutes walk from sea front and local restaurants. We found scooters the ideal mode of transport and parking areas were a 6 minute walk away and cost @EUR3 to get to the beach. Taxis (if you can find one) cost @EUR4 from the town centre. Villa is generally in a good state of repair and well decorated. The outside space is very spacious and more than adequate for 6 adults. The outside space is what sells this property. Owner was very attentive when problems arose and communicates through e-mail promptly. Air conditioning is payable additionally via a coin operated system so change will be required in the hotter months.

Wonderful private villa all one level with beautiful outdoor area and pool
We had a great stay. The villa is very private in a cul de sac, with a lovely sunny outdoor area and generously sized pool. The owner was very responsive. Playa Papagos / the coastal walk is 1km walk away and Marina Rubicon 2km so a good beach and lovely restaurants are nicely accessible.

Lovely quiet villa in easy reach of amenities
A lovely spacious villa with a great outside area in a quiet location. 3 bedrooms with one on suite and a good living/dining space as well as two seating and eating areas outside. Dorado Beach is a 20 minute stroll where you’ll then have the option of a walk to the marina or town where both have plenty of restaurants and retail opportunities. A great break away from an English winter.

Well placed property. We booked at short notice and reluctant because it didn’t have a dishwasher. Small kitchen couldn’t fit one but utility could. I couldn’t fault it otherwise. Well stocked villa and comfortable…owner very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Cleaning lady did a fab job.

Wonderful stay at Casa Katie
Casa Katie is a lovely property in a great location. The rooms provided plenty of space for the family of 5 and the outdoor area was great for spending time by the pool and dining. It is in a very good location with all your needs in walking distance of plenty of restaurants, supermarkets etc. The welcome book from the owner was very handy with lovely restaurant recommendations. The pool towels were also a great addition. I highly recommend Casa Katie and look forward to staying there again.

Fabulous break, perfect location!
We stayed at this property at the end of August and had a lovely time. The property was perfect for our family of 4. The villa was modern, clean and well equipped with everything we needed.The host provided pool/beach towels which was perfect for freeing up space in our luggage. The location of this villa is also great, a short walk to the main resort but far enough away to be peaceful. We generally walked in and then got a taxi back (normally around 3 euros) in the evenings or we used the electric scooters which are great fun. We would definitely stay at this villa again.

A lovely villa, in a quiet, secluded location
The villa is lovely, and has absolutely everything you need for a self catering holiday. The location is quiet and the villa outside space is large and very private. As other guests have said, the walk into Playa Blanca town is, at a slow stroll, about 15 mins and to the Marina about 30 mins. All in all we had a very relaxing, wonderful holiday in a lovely villa.

Perfect Stay In Playa Blanca
Just back from 2 weeks at Casa Katie. My thoughts: - Great communication from Eimear ahead of the stay, answering my many questions quickly & in a friendly manner. Also stayed in touch during our stay & checked all was ok. - Easy to find driving from the airport & very easy check in process - As others have said the villa has a great sized pool & is very spacious outdoors with lots of seating/tables. - Nice quiet location - Good size bedrooms & lounge, all clean & presentable - Short walk to the beach & restaurants, approx. 10-15 mins - Short & cheap taxi ride to the Marina (or a 30 min walk) - Overall a fantastic stay in a great villa with a great host. I would not hesitate to book again.

Perfect Playa Blanca Haven!
Casa Katie is a fantastic villa located in a nice quiet area, but still within easy reach of the centre of Playa Blanca, the Marina and Papagayo Beaches. Preparation for our visit was excellent, with a detailed pack of directions and information from the owner. This made navigating straight to the villa and getting in a breeze. No Sat Nav required! First impressions are superb. The well presented front garden and private drive and the welcoming feel of the villa as you walk in. All rooms are spacious and well appointed. You won't need to worry about where to put your clothes. The fixtures, fittings and furnishings are all top quality and you have pretty much everything you need to make your stay comfortable, whether it be cooking in, a few drinks outside, a BBQ, a Take Away or wandering into Playa Blance. Wifi service if good and english (and other language) TV is also on hand. If you prefer to listen to music then there is a Hifi in the Living Room. The jewel in the Casa Katie crown is the outside space. It feels really open and airy and gives you a sense of having room to breath. The high walls also give you a sense of privacy and security. The pool is huge and superbly maintained by Terry. A very professional and interesting chap and well worth having a chat with him. All in all a fabulous stay in Casa Katie and Playa Blanca. We will definitely return again in the future.

Amazing family villa and fantastic holiday
We have just returned from a weeks family holiday at Casa Katie and what a wonderful time we had. The villa is amazing, exceptionally clean, has everything you need for a family holiday and the outside space and pool is just incredible. The communication from Eimear (owner) was excellent throughout, both before we left, and during the holiday ensuring everything was ok. Perfect directions to find it and the easiest key collection I’ve experienced. After a few bad experiences with villas around the world we were hesitant to do it again, but we should not have worried as everything was as described if not better. The walk down into town was lovely at night (max 10 mins) and we would either walk back or grab a taxi (which was easy) for 3-4 euros. We hired a car and explored some of the island, the fire mountains being a particular highlight. Thanks again to Eimear for a wonderful stay and we will certainly be returning at some point in the future.
