Finnish Holiday Lodges, set in wooded hillside, with mountain and stream views

3 Bedroom Holiday lodge based on a family of 5, Double bedroom, Single Bedroom and Twin Bedroom. Parking for up to two vehicles, self catering, Wheelchair access, wet room, kitchen/ dining room/ lounge, smart T.V, Veranda to the front of property, enclosed Hot-tub to the side, Please bring your own towels for the Tub, free Wi-fi.
The property is set in 5 acres of broadleaf woodland close to Cardiff (8 miles away) Newport (6 miles away), there are regular buses running through the village(every half hour) , the nearest train station is Crosskeys (25 mins walk, Ebbw Vale Line).
We provide bedding and towels, you may want to bring your own for hot-tub, there are many walks within a 3 mile radius and we also have the Wonderfull Brecon Beacons national park which is a 30 minute drive from us.
Pets are welcome in the lodge, but we ask that they don't tear at the furniture, and would appreciate you bringing your own blankets to cover the sofas.
Check-in is from 2-9pm
Check-out is 11am.
We do not do group bookings for males or females, we will only do contractors.

Location was perfect for peace and tranquility Property was clean with everything you needed The only thing I would add is the lack of a mobile hoist which is a minor problem. Dafyyd as a host was welcoming and helped us with any questions.

The lodge is beautiful and wonderful surroundings The view is amazing. Very clean and cosy and home from home with everything you need. Hot tub went down well with all. Dafydd was very welcoming and was just at the end of the phone if we needed anything. Already booked for another weekend!

We had a fantastic stay at the safe haven holiday lodges. The lodge was well equipped and had everything we needed. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure that we had a wonderful stay. The accommodation was clean and tidy and the hot tub was a particularly great addition. The views were absolutely stunning and it was so peaceful. We would definitely stay again!

Fantastic
What a gorgeous hidden gem! Beautiful lodge in a beautiful setting. Hot tub was brilliant and the little outdoor play area with swing, connect 4 and goals was a massive hit with the kids. We will 100% be back! Excellent service from Dafydd and his wife. We loved every minute and were sad to leave!

We absolutely loved our stay in this lodge. Dafydd was an amazing host and really friendly. The only sounds we could hear outside were birds singing and the river. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to get away from it all. Lodge was well equipped, clean and comfortable

We booked the lodge as we could take our 2 dogs whilst we went to see family for Christmas .. It exceeded all our expectations .. Christmas tree up door decoration and tinsel .. such lovely touches Owner so helpful .. well equipped kitchen and hot tub was so much fun with our grandchildren We have booked again for next year

Fabulous get away place
The cabin had everything we needed and more. Well equipped kitchen including the helpful extras such as tea & coffee, oil, sauces etc. we were really lucky with the weather but if we hadn’t been the new heating system kicked in really quick and warmed the place up fast. Hot tub was such a treat and the host was really helpful without being intrusive. Altogether I would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone wanting to escape for a few days. Just wish we could have stayed longer

Dafydd was very friendly and extremely helpful, the lodge was amazing and exceeded expectations. Lovely and peaceful to sit in the morning with a cuppa watching the birds having their brekkie opposite the lodge. Fab evenings spent in the hot tub. Our only complaint is that the weekend went far too quickly lol

lovely cottage and location
booked this for my daughter's birthday. lovely location only 30 mins train to Cardiff where we went shopping. Cottage was a great size with everything you need already provided. We spend a lot of time in hot tub!! Smart TV was definitely a bonus especially at night. will definitely return next year :-)

A lovely blissful stay
We stayed for 5 nights and wish it was for longer! A lovely, quiet place for us. It was the perfect time away we were looking for. Dafydd is a great host. Very friendly and helpful. We felt completely safe where we were and could let the kids play outside alone. The hot tub an excellent bonus! Lots of lovely walks to go on and a train station nearby to go further out if no transport like us. We certainly recommend this place for a nice relaxing getaway. Booking again for next year!
