Arriving the location loocked a little off, being surrounded by (what it looked like) factories. However, once we areived to th3 hotel, it was way more than what I expected. Easy parking, goos bar, good buffet breakfast for 4 euros. The room wss also very good and clen, as well as the bathroom. I would definitely recommend it

Beautiful corridors with original paintings.
Beautiful corridors with some original paintings. Underground and locked free parking. You can leave your luggage in the car. Seems to be renovated. Easy access by car to highways to Toledo and Madrid. I stayed in a three bed room. Windows open to a wall and to what seems an exhaust pipe. Better keep closed. Room and corridors were clean. Friendly staff at reception. Restaurant was closed (Sunday) but I was told there was breakfast (paid). Neighbouthood does not seem "touristic and beautiful", but I did not spent time there. I was heading to Toledo (half an hour by car) and just spent the night.

We were very surprised by this hotel. Lovely and clean and good service. Restaurant was closed in the evening as it was Sunday but we are in a cafe down the road.

I enjoyed my stay here. There is a breakfast buffet for 6 Euros per person. The shower is excellent, with very precise temperature dial. There is a very small gym for guests. There is a chinese buffet across the street that is open late. It is a short drive from Toledo.

Excellent home base for visits to Toledo
We flew into Madrid, got a rental car, and planned to drive around Spain for a week. Our first stop was Toledo. Carlos I is perfectly located for such a plan. It's only about 40 minutes from the Madrid airport, and you don't have to go through Madrid to get to it. It's only about 20 minutes drive straight down the A-42 to Toledo (and is much less expensive than Toledo). We arrived very late because we had changed planes in London during a snowstorm. All of the front desk staff were very helpful, and they coordinated with Iberia to help arrange the delivery of our checked bags that had stayed behind at Heathrow. The breakfast is a bargain: it is wise to eat at the hotel before going out on adventures for the day. The restaurant is very good and the staff made us feel at home. Most of the restaurant customers are locals, who have plenty of other options nearby. Our room was comfortable and warm (in spite of the cold rain outside). There is parking underground with direct access to the hotel (also nice when there's a cold rain outside). If you are traveling west, the main road through Yuncos (the CM-4004) is a very pleasant drive through the countryside to the A-5 toward Oropesa. It was a very pleasant stay and I'd be happy to stay at the Carlos I again.
