For us there is no other hotel in Europe that we can afford that comes close to The Esplanade. It oozed old world charm while providing all modern conveniences. It is where we like to start and end our annual Croatia visits.

Favorite hotel in Zagreb for relaxation. Truly a place to stay if you plan on enjoying the amenities of a well priced premium hotel. The staff are extremely accommodating and everything is done with attention to detail. Will always be my first choice when in Zagreb!

The hotel is exactly as it appears. Grand and elegant. Service exemplary and the rooms large and well appointed. It sets a high tone. The wifi connection is erratic and continuously drops out in the room depending where u stand . The shower could use a little maintenance. For the $ it needs a little workon the small things. Overall an excellent experience for a fitst night in a new city stay.

I made a reservation thru Expedia and mistakenly had reserved 3 nights instead of 2. This was for 2 rooms and they said that since it was not thru them, they could not do anything. What a joke. They charged me an extra $500 roughly for going thru Expedia. They said that Expedia can do something like refund my money, but Expedia said the hotel should do something. A lesson learned!!! Always go directly, albeit I am not sure they would have done something anyways...
