Our Millennium Haus flat is modern, light and airy (64 sq. m.) and unlike many flats offered in Zermatt, has DIRECT road access - NO long flights of stairs to climb! Built in 2000 it is in a quiet location with uninterrupted views south to the Matterhorn from the bedroom, living room & terrace. 'Talk about a room with a view-this is terrific!' wrote a guest, we are a 5 minute walk (2 minute by taxi) from the Sunnegga lift.

The spacious modern living area includes a large sofa bed plus cable HDTV, DVD, CD stereo, the dining area has a large circular table and it has a fully fitted kitchen with all amenities including a dishwasher.
The bedroom has a double bed with lots of storage and the bathroom has a combined bath and a shower to wake you up! Heating for the apartment is under floor. In addition, the house has a ski room with boot drier . Outside is a large south (Matterhorn)facing patio area with table and chairs and lawn. Non Skiers, Poor Days...: Zermatt is a fantastic skiing resort with hundreds of kilometres of skiing in Zermatt, Cervinia and Valtournenche. But it also has good facilities for non skiers - most of the mountain pathways are kept fully open in Winter so walkers can arrange to meet the skiers at your favourite restaurant! There is indoor swimming, outdoor skating and curling rinks as well as tobogganing - great fun when the weather is a bit iffy! Plus a village which offers historic walks daily, an Alpine Mountain Museum and take a horse drawn carriage tour.

Restaurants and Apres Ski: We know of no other resort with such a wide variety of excellent restaurants both on and off the mountain, Zum See has been voted best mountain restaurant and many others offer a fantastic variety of mouth-watering menu's. The hamlet of Findeln just below Sunnegga offers many great little stubli's such as Franz & Heidi's, Chez Vrony, Paradies, Reid etc. - you will not be disappointed.
In the evening Zermatt has scores of excellent venues for eating Swiss traditional fare plus French, Italian, Mexican, Thai, Japanese, Greek etc. and after your meal there’s an excellent places such as the Pollux, Moods, Elsie’s and the Pink Elephant often with live music.
The Telegraph sums it up in its Ski Supplement (8th October 05) 'Best mountain restaurants in the world, which explains the lack of will to ski after lunch. Lunch in Chez Vrony, Zum See or any other of a dozen other mountain restaurants is a gastronomic experience without parallel.
