Right on the main square. Parking available. I bit tricky to find the two small lots. Be sure to contact the hotel with your license plate number (your number can automatically open the gate)

Charming rooms, incredibly large and clean. The restaurant/reception areas were a little tatty/smelly but all in all, a pleasant stay with large bright rooms and clean bedding.

Few nights at the Grand
I've stayed in the Grand before and had no issues re: staying there again. I had 3 nights there. The hotel is about a 10 min walk from Zilina station and is on the corner of the town square which has some bars and restaurants nearby. The staff were good, helpful and friendly.

Reasonable rooms but no security available at night. On night of stay noisy and troublesome guest in middle of night keeping people awake - asked reception for help but received reply not their problem. Ask if security available, they said no.

One of my children's favourite hotel. Whirpool bath in premium room is awesome. They should definitely install air conditioner in the rooms and have a better coffee for breakfast.

excellent location
The Hotel Grand is right in the middle of the city center, at the southwest corner of Marianske Namestie. (The hotel entrance is around 15 meters into the alley.) In addition to the nice location, it was well-maintained too, and the staff spoke good English. Having a small refrigerator in the room was convenient, since I was staying there a few days. My one complaint was minor, that the shower head couldn't be mounted on the wall above my head, but this is not unusual in the Old World.

I stayed there one night and my initial impression was very good. The room, while basic, was immaculate, and the bathroom was impressive. The problem came the next morning when checking out. The clerk asked if I had a car, which I did, and said there was a 5 euro charge for parking. My Expedia confirmation said 3 euros, which I showed her. No matter, she argued with me over the 2 euros. It was a small detail, but that left the parting impression of irritation.

A pleasant hotel though I would not say Grand approximately 10 minutes walk from the Railway Station. Room was okay just could do with a bit of modernisation. Didn't bother with breakfast when found out not on site. Would stay in the future but do not expect luxury.

Hotel Grand in Zilina....a good place to stay
Walkable from the train station. Right off one of the main squares in Zilina. Small single room, but clean and pleasant. Helpful staff. Inexpensive jacuzzi and spa use in the hotel. Tasty breakfast included in the cost. Frig in the room.

Very good hotel in Zilina
This hotel is well placed in the corner of the square, about 15 minutes' walk from the railway station. The room was comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Very nice hotel, good choice.
I only had a one night stay as I was heading through Slovakia from the Czech Rep and wanted to break up the journey. The hotel itself is very well presented, comfortable and clean. It is located right next to the very pleasant main square. Several bars and restaurants / eating places. The staff were helpful and also spoke very good English too.
