Built over 100 years ago, the Inn felt like we were stepping back in time. Modern conveniences of WiFi and TVs worked well. Quiet, clean room with a very comfortable bed. Continental breakfast included and the coffee was great. We sat on the porch in the evening and relaxed by a fire pit - the whole experience was charming and relaxing. Cost was reasonable too.

We love the hotel, decor and staff. The room we were in was # 8. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, the bathroom had mold in the tub and celing above the bathtub. When taking a shower, the water did not drain out so we stood in ankle deep water. We could hear every step the person above us took, which was a lot. The lighting was very dim throughout the hotel. The breakfast was good, the staff was extremely nice. we would not stay there again unless the beds were updated, repairs done and if we were on the top floor so we couldn't hear the people above. The hotel is old, and that is part of the charm, which we liked, but needs updated rooms and bathroom.

Could have done better

The room given to us was nothing like the room pictured on their website. Window air conditioner was so loud you could not hear the tv at all when it was running. The volume control on the tv did not work (? Intentionally) so tv watching was a bust. The room was exceptionally small and uninviting, totally out of character for the rest of the hotel.

Arrived in lobby at 9pm with five bags, only to be told there were no beds and that my reservation had been cancelled. I will remove my one-star rating when either Expedia or the Belmont refunds the $418.25 credit card charge.

It was wonderful. The only thing I did not like is there was no iron, coffee pot or small fridge in the room. Coffee was served in morning with breakfast and was very good but i am an early riser and they did not serve till 7. So without fridge or coffee pot in the room i had to wait. Otherwise this place is amazing, beautiful and the restaurant and bar downstairs had fantastic food and bar for evening.

This is our second time staying here in 3 weeks. We stayed on our way up to Ohio and stayed on our way back. We love the coziness and turn of the century charm this hotel has to offer. Very clean, comfy beds, a basic hotel room. I recommend maybe an updating of the bathroom ie. bathtub, toilet, and hair dryer. Other than that, I would stay here again if we’re ever in the area.
