TOM is THE MAN!
Publié le 21 juill. 2024 sur HotelsAs a lifelong traveler and Hotels.com customer who travels frequently with family, but especially on a regular basis for business, I am happy to say that this was one of the best hotels and customer experiences I've had in a very long time. The hotel and front desk manager, Thomas/Tom was a major reason! He went out of his way to accommodate my son and I, who were in town all weekend for Cal Ripken little league tournament! Cannot thank Tom and his team enough for all they did to help us and make us feel so welcome and appreciated - as a Hotels.com AND Hilton Honors customer!!!!!

Would not stay here again, given a choice.
Publié le 8 juill. 2024 sur HotelsThere's nothing wrong with this property's location and the condition was generally okay (although there was some water damage in our bathroom, inadequate ventilation, and low water pressure - at least on the 4th floor).
This Hilton Garden Inn seems to think they're fancier than they are. Charging $3 for bottled water left in the rooms (mini-bar style) and exorbitant fees for items available in the pantry at the front desk - still not terribly unusual. But do know that Wi-Fi isn't free unless you sign up for their rewards program, and then you only get their basic speed (which was enough to stream on a Roku stick). Otherwise, it's $4.95/day for hi-speed wi-fi.
What earned them the 2-star overall rating, however, is the breakfast scam. I booked through Hotels.com and paid an extra $10 on top of the nightly rate for breakfast to be included. Their breakfast setup is an 80s or 90s style choice of buffet or a la carte, done table style. I told the front desk AND the restaurant staff that we had pre-paid for breakfast and was advised that it would be taken care of at checkout.
I was charged separately for breakfast at checkout and when I showed the clerk my Hotels.com receipt indicating breakfast was included, she told me "we don't do that" and indicated it was my fault for booking through a 3rd party site. I left and called Hilton's corporate customer service number and was basically told the same thing. I do NOT blame Hotels.com for this.
