I can't think of anything to complain about but I wished they had an exercise room. But everything else was A-okay.

Ok, about what I expected

Food was left in my refrigerator, not a big deal. I brought it to the desk . Room smelled a bit musty. It was ok for the money spent.

Scott thanks for the review. I am sorry about that musty smell. We do our best to keep up with it, but often happens in summer when air runs constantly.I have also reminded all housekeepers to check their fridges.

Staff wasn't friendly, visible stains on bedding & bathroom wasn't clean

Hi thanks for taking time to review our property. You mentioned that staff was not friendly. Do you happen to recall names of the staff that was not friendly too you? My staff is trained to be courteous, helpful and kind to all guests so I would like to know who it was so I could correct it for the future. I am so sorry you experienced this. Feel free to call me directly at the hotel. I assure I have spoken to the housekeeper that prepared your room and I assure you they will not leave a room like that in the future. I wish we would have know we would have been happy to move you to a more accommodating room to stay in.

The only issue was smoke smell in hotel and really rough in the room. We have 3 with allergies so that was tough.

Cynthia I am so sorry your room smelled of smoke. Curious did you mention this to the front desk they would have been happy to move you to a more suitable room. The next time you head this way after you make your reservation please call and ask for me I will make sure I get you in one of the best rooms we have that is smoke free. Again I am so sorry. We are a no smoking hotel but when the humidity is just right the former smoking rooms have the odor sneak back. We just can't get rid of it. But we have no issues with these rooms in the winter.

Well . . . The Bed Was Okay!

The drive into the parking lot shows a worn, older property. Landscape needed work and cement lot was turning into gravel. Rough looking people hanging around the parking lot . . . I wasn't bothered, but did not feel especially safe; I parked near the front door to compensate.. Hallways worn, dirty (not filthy). They had a pool that I wouldn't swim in . . . a little murky with some trash laying around. The room itself was old/worn and in need of updates. The shower had a slow drain. The door would not close/stay closed properly. I was tired and not there long, so we made it work. There are several better options in town. Breakfast was also sub-par.

Thanks for taking time to review the property we do appreciate it. Lets tackle the parking lot. It is not turning into gravel it was just recently resurfaced so not all of the gravel has been worked in yet. I am hoping to get someone to sweep it soon. The west side of the building is the one that does not have new landscaping, the rest was all done last year. Sadly one plant did not the winter. As for people outside. I do apologize but when your hotel is full and guests are not allowed to smoke inside they tend to hang around outside the building to do that. We try our best to keep up with the hallways when we are full but sometimes it is a challenge, especially with the many construction workers we have. Our pool was very busy this past 4 days and it does get cloudy when so many people use it, especially if they do in with lotions on their bodies. After a lot of work on our part and a quiet pool on Sunday we are happy to say it is crystal clear again. I have ask maintenance to look in the drain issue mentioned and the door handle you spoke of. I am happy to mention that all of our rooms have new furniture as of last year and new mattresses are arriving this month and slowly all rooms are getting new lighting and we hope to have many of the room recarpeted this summer if business slows down a bit. Oh year and by January 1 all our rooms will have brand new bedding and shampoo and conditioner dispensers in the showers themselves.As for breakfast I am sorry it was not to your liking. Not sure what your breakfast was but Bisquit and gravy day seems to be everyone's favorite. We do hope you give us another try sometime down the road. I think you will be pleased with the future changes.

Old and broken

Unfortunately it was not a good hotel. Shelves in bathroom broken. Some outlets in room did not work. The room smelled real bad. The window was covered with some sort of dirt or muck that you couldn’t see through. The manager at checkin was awesome, but the hotel is seriously run down. I cannot return.

Greg I am so sorry you did not have a good experience. We honestly had no idea about the outlets or the shelf that was broken. Honestly with the outlets we don't know until a guest tells us and you are the first to mention any of these issues. I have reported them all to the maintenance man so that they can get taken care of. Had we known of these issues while you were here we would have gladly moved you to a different room.We are in the process of updates. I am sure you noticed all our rooms have new furniture. New mattresses will be put in at the beginning of next month and by the first of the year we will have all new bedding with a new color scheme. We do hope you give us another chance in the future.
