Dirty Cottage

No window treatment in main part of cottage.
Closets cluttered with “stuff.
Kitchen cupboards cluttered with “stuff”.
No bedside tables or lamps.
No chest of drawers in bedrooms (no where to unpack clothes).
Stove top dirty.
No drinking glasses(only two plastic glasses)
Only two of four a/c heaters worked…very cold at night and mornings

Wow,These people gave a 1 Star intended to bring down our good score. Very sad.Did their laundry for them.We let them bring their dog, hair is everywhere they didn’t clean when they left.Bought a antenna for the tv for them to pick up local channels.2 closets one is ours and one for customers. They had so much stuff like they moved in for a year. Everything they asked for we did.We have lamp for bed that the lady moved to living room and also moved storage bend that was for bedroom next to toilet, gross.After they left the shower and shower curtain was so dirty that we threw curtain away.. cobwebs sprout up over night during the fall, clean and move on. They drove thru neighbors and our property line repeatedly killing the grass.All I can say is that they told us everything was great.So to that point they gave a mean 1Star to bring down our great score.
So deceiving.We try our best to keep lil blue nice and cozy for our people but as you can tell some folks you just can’t please.Would not host again! More suited for garage apartment Everything is great at first and then bam 1 Star.
What a shame
Soo enough BS come check us out and have a great time at Lil Blue on Valley Street.

Great 39th Anniversary Trip
Publié le 31 août 2024 sur HomeAwayMy wife and I are considering moving to SW Virginia and have spent increasingly more time there. We loved the location of the Blue House as well as the house itself. Tastefully and thoughtfully decorated, open and spacious. Abbey and Ron have done a fantastic job on the house and are gracious hosts. Check in and check out were simpler than any hotel. It made for a perfect launch pad for us to hike several times in the area as well as ride the Creeper Trail. A block off the main street, quiet but incredibly convenient to restaurants and shopping. You will love it!

Abingdon Stay

Cute little house
Publié le 16 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayIt was a cute clean little house. Conveniently located to downtown. The driveway was very narrow and the trees needed to be trimmed, but we also had a big truck. There was plenty of seating but no table to eat at and could use a couple bar stools. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed and the appliances were very nice. Check in and check out were super easy. I would stay again.

Perfect Getaway

Quick stop in Abingdon

Kitchen is well-stocked with prep and cooking tools. Fridge has through the door H2O and ice. Fun decor, TV has several streaming platforms, lots of nightlights are a nice touch. Easy access to Virginia Creeper Trail for cyclists and walkers. Also would be a good place for Bristol Motor Speedway fans to stay - just 25 min trip to the race and an alternative to the congestion and sold out hotels on race weekend. Nice assortment of retail shops in area from antiques to olive oil to boutiques. Historical sites and an active theater downtown. Recommended restaurants - Rain, 128 Pecan, Gilous Cafe and Girl & The Raven.
