Very nice guest house in a very convenient location for East Legon and University of Ghana. Nice large room with good facilities and helpful staff; also a big balcony which was lovely. The owner is very interesting and helpful and is also very on top of things at his business, which is great. Would recommend.

A true home away from home

The property is in a good location and the staff try to be helpful. However there is church that meets on the premises and makes it extremely noisy.
There are guard dogs on the premises that are not chained. It made going outside a fearful experience.

Your comfort means a lot to us, which is why prior to your arrival we updated your room to executive and furnished it with a microwave for your comfort, we even ensured your own guest on all occasions, was allocated a parking space and held meetings in the multifunctional conference room without charge, despite you only paying for a standard room, all in aid of enhancing stay. A little disappointing that your stay wasn't comfortable? But more disappointed that you couldn't inform me personally. There has never been a single complaint about the church as the walls are sound proof, and we would have easily addressed it, by offering you an alternative room (I'm sure you know how Ghanaians partake in New Year Crossover celebrations on 31st December, you being Ghanaian).Because you mentioned you had been a Christian since 1976, 31st December is all but a celebration in Ghana, however it is regretted how it marred your stay. The security dog is highly trained and is a valid deterrent after hours, it is usually kept in a secure cage as we deem it inhumane to chain animals. There is always someone to escort our guest 24 hours. Your comfort is paramount to us and I wished you had communicated any issues as you had my personal number prior to even your stay. We have never have a guest describe their stay as 'fearful'. We are bitterly disappointed as your demeanour didn't suggest that! We will however address all the concerns you raised. Wish you well!

Ok for a night or two
Publié le 1 janv. 2024 sur HotelsThe place is neat, but old. There is mold in the bathroom shower and the bathroom sink leaked. In addition, there is a charge for bottled water and for the airport shuttle. I can't really recommend it.

Hello! We appreciate every comment submitted, especially ones that would prompt management to act. We wished you had informed us about the leakage (As we have a handyman on site) It has now been repaired. The 'Mold' we noticed was actually discoloration of the shower sealant and has now been replaced. As you rightly pointed out, we do our best to maintain and cleanse daily to ensure neatness. The Airport is however not a free service nor is it listed as such. We pride ourselves in welcoming our guest with free bottles of water, every other water after that is charged as we are a small business with limited free resources as I'm sure you appreciate.

Average stay. Staff welcoming and very polite but need additional customer service training. For example, staff did not appear to be informed about my reservation when I arrived at the guest house. Another example, while I applaud efforts to conserve energy, the guest house lobby and hallways were very dark, even in the evenings, which made it challenging to unlock and lock the door to my room. Finally, the security dog roamed too freely on the premises upon entry, which was uncomfortable to say the least.

Thanks for your comments. I regret you found your stay 'uncomfortable' I personally checked and spoke to you in person and always found you cheerful and comfortable according to you? There were many opportunities to make known to me if you had any issues? We accept not everyone is at ease with dogs and for that reason there was a staff or security present and you were escorted each time you presented yourself to exit the main gate. In the interest of all our security, the dog is highly trained and majority of the time tucked away unless one chooses to see it! There has never been any incidents in the 6 years of operations. Most applaud our security measures.In regards to the lighting? We do encourage lights, air cons, and petty electronics to be switched off upon leaving the rooms for longer periods, this is part of our eco friendly agenda, however light switches are available all over, in the lobby and hallway which is only dimmed after hours!I helped check you in and you were expected as I addressed you by name after welcoming you and your guest. The staff are always fully equipped with all info and updated daily!
