A nice hotel for a overnight stay.

I was a little disappointed with the free drink card. Only Options of beer and wine. I'm not a fan of either. Option for a bottom shelf spirit would of been nice. But my overall stay was very enjoyable. The meals were very appetising. Scotch steak was very good lots of flavour. Bar staff was lovely. Room was clean and very comfortable and will highly recommend to anyone. The whole procedure of entering and exiting was very easy and straight forward. Thankyou for a wonderful experience.

Understandably, the property is old but the maintenance is below standard. Dirty carpet, the room walls have swollen paint/mould due to lack of ventilation, and the window is sealed up, to cap the awful weekend. The bonnet of my car got scratched in the car park and they could not provide me with CCTV footage even though there was a camera directly looking at the car park. I was told the CCTV was faulty.

Hi Adewunmi,I apologise for your less than ideal stay.I'm disappointed to see you didn't find your room up to standard, unfortunately the windows in all rooms are sealed shut for guest safety and as per our council approved building plans, as for the swollen paint, that is purely due to the age of the building and the deep cracks in the walls that we have had looked at/repaired by contractors multiple times to no avail. Other than that, we pride ourselves on presentation and cleanliness so if you found your room did not meet standards, we would have loved for you to alert us so we could move you to another room more to your liking. Also you had originally booked into a Compact Queen room but your booking was upgraded to a Studio Queen room by the accommodation manager since you were staying for 3 nights and we had the availability.We do apologise for being unable to provide CCTV of your car being damaged...we cannot actually give CCTV to patrons/guests, we can only give it directly to police/authorities when a report is made, but even then we would not be able to because yes, that camera is not operational, which we have raised multiple times directly with contractors and with higher management in our company. While it doesn't repair the damage, your words drawing attention to it will also be sent to higher management in hopes that something will actually be done to repair it, so thank you.Once again, sincerest apologies for your stay and any inconveniences caused, I hope it doesn't deter you from potentially moving to SA like we had talked about.Kind Regards,Exeter Hotel
