Worse place to stay don't stay here

This is one of the worst places I have stayed in Airlie Beach. I stay in this area twice a year so I have had better experience in places that cost a lot less. 1 the lifts weren't working so had to walk 6 levels 2 there was jackhammering going on out the back of the property loud enough to come through the property 3 no toilet paper not even a spare one in the carboard. 4 you could not open the washing machine door as they had a door halfway over it. 5 was then charged extra for an hour late check out when this should have been free they have mentioned that I would get a refund, I still waiting to hear from management on this as they are meant to be in contact with me. 6. the place is very old and needs upgrading I would never stay at this place or recommend it. it's also not very convenient to the town area and not many restaurants nearby. There are better places to stay that are close to the restaurants and shops and are of better value for money. I don't believe the images are true images

You were contacted by the hotel prior to your arrival to discuss our lift outage, where you advised that you were happy to use the stairs to access your room, if you were not actually happy with this, an alternative would have been offered. 2. Unfortunately, the noise is not associated with our premise, I do apologize that this put a dampener on your stay and will endeavour to notify all future guests about the possibility of the noise (it also advises you when booking through this channel that there is construction noise affecting our property. 3. I believe that Dani our other receptionist was prompt in rectifying this issue for you, as mistakes can happen, especially when our Housekeeping team are having to traverse the stairs with all of the necessary cleaning equipment, linen and in room items. 4. This will be shared with the maintenance team to ensure that our rooms are functional. 5. Our check-out time is 10am, any time after this is considered late checkout, the fee you were charged was discounted 50%, this is not a complimentary add on. 6. Your comments will be shared with the maintenance team as we always strive to be better.

Property is not what it looks like online. The room was dirty and smelt musky. The spa also didn't work in our room, and it quite unsafe to even get into. The view consisted of the back of the car park of the hotel in front. Staff were lovely and pleasant on all interactions, they were extremely accommodating.

Lovely fresh and clean room. Easy to organize late checkout with reception. Reception staff very friendly and welcoming. Only thing we encountered was doors repeatedly slamming on our last morning at 8 am every 30 seconds or so (seemed like someone was checking every room?) and on our last day housekeeping opened our door and called out housekeeping without knocking first which was alarming as we were just about to leave the bedroom in towels ready for a shower! Otherwise apart from those two minor things we had a lovely stay.
