Very clean, well appointed, great staff on site and excellent communication from Gina. We loved the view and hearing the waves and birds sing. *buy fruit to share with the wildlife they loved bananas even the fish!

Beautiful quiet and relaxing.
We loved the condo we stayed in. It’s in a protected section right on the bay. The breeze from the gulf was constant and the beauty outstanding. Our host has nice taste in the appointments. The condo was comfortable and everything we needed had been thought of. The staff was friendly and eager to assist. The pool was used daily. No insects, restaurants were nearby and incredible. Only issue was the beach is rocky and not easily waded in. There however nearby beaches was sandy swimmable beach outside Akumal maybe 20 minutes. Very fun. Highly recommend!

Quiet and quaint
Wonderful views and very well kept property. Kitchen has everything needed for any meal prep. Take advantage of the local farmers markets. Half moon bay has great snorkeling as long as the wind isn't out of the east. Make sure to cover the drain in the shower as there isn't a trap and sewer gas comes out of it when the wind is blowing.

Great Location, Comfy and Close to Everything
I have been coming to Quintana Roo for 20+ years, staying in various locations in Akumal and Tulum. I love this property! It is a smaller community, quiet, and close to great restaurants. We enjoyed exploring the area during the day, and taking a dip in the pool in the evenings. Our favorite event was sitting on the back deck, both morning and night, looking out over the water. Pure bliss! The unit was well appointed and our maid left it spotless for us each day. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

Pros -Excellent location, we stayed here February 27 - March 13, 2023 on the 3rd floor Large TV, Great Space, Fantastic Ocean View, Large Fridge, well supplied dishes & pots & pans. Loved the fresh supply of drinking water c/w hot and cold dispenser Cons - Bed needs to be replaced very bad dips on both side. Thank you Gina we would definitely recommend staying here

Loved my stay here. Beautiful view of HalfMoon Bay in the sleepy town of Akumal The owner, Gina, is great. Responds to questions quickly. Very nice 3rd floor condo with balcony, kitchen, living room, bedroom. Comfortable & complete in this small, clean complex with a pool. 20 min. walk to town. A couple of very good restaurants nearby. I highly recommend this owner and the condo. Great stay..

Perfect getaway!
The condo was perfect for my wife and I to escape the Michigan winter for a week. We loved the fact that so many places are within walking distance from the condo. Plenty to do between relaxing by the pool or beach, to snorkeling in the bay. Sea weed was a bit of a surprise, but that was a problem no matter where we went including all the beaches in Tulum. Overall it was a great stay.

Our stay could not have been more perfect! The condo did not disappoint. Loved the Decor! The property was managed very well, we had maid service daily, always felt so clean and fresh. And the location and view is unbeatable....we will be back!

Wonderful Trip experience
The listing couldn't have been more accurate. Everything was truely wonderful. Beautiful views, beach, pool and overall no issues. Great restaurants close by. Quiet town perfect for relaxing. Things that weren't advertised on listing but perks- you can rent snorkel gear and life jackets at service desk, helpful front desk services- called and arrange taxi, rental of golf carts or bicycles and excursions, provided coffee , sugar and filters for morning, and provided drinkable distilled water that can be filled whenever you need for no extra cost, and daily maid service. Beach had sargassum (seaweed) but was cleaned daily by wonderful hard working men. Thanks for a wonderful trip.

The condo is absolutely beautiful and worth the trip. We are definitely planning on returning! The ocean view from the balcony is phenomenal (the beach is right below you!) and you can hear the ocean from every room in the condo. Very peaceful.

Best getaway!
The location was perfect; right on the beach, beautiful snorkeling right in front, walk or bike ride to all areas of Akumal. So many things to do or you can just lie around and let the world pass you by. The apt was very comfortable, super clean. The onsite staff answered all of our questions, set up transportation and were super accommodating. Gina is a fantastic host. responded quickly to all my questions and had great suggestions on what to do and where to eat while in Akumal. I will definitely be coming back with my whole family next time

We had a great stay. Well appointed condo. Olive oil and salt provided which I think should be standard. Easy to use the TV to stream. 24 hour security sits in front of the building. Wonderful service. 365 degree ocean views from the kitchen/family room.

Fall asleep to the sound of waves on the beach!
This is a lovely property. Has a great room with all the kitchen amenities needed for a lovely escape. Nobody between you and the beach! Very comfortable bedroom. All very tastefully decorated. Right on the beach. Comes with a small pool with loungers around pool plus lounges on the beach under Palapas. Vehicle is essential. There are two nice restaurants within walking distance. And a small groceteria for basic essentials. We drove into the local village which is just across the highway, to do our shopping and to buy some of the local offerings of tacos, tortas,etc. etc. There is some pretty good snorkeling directly out front of the property. While we were there, it was fairly stormy and turbulent and fit only for strong, experienced swimmers. In calm situations it would be excellent for anybody comfortable in the water. Saw lots of butterfly fish, a couple of mature French angels… Access to the road to this property is controlled at its entrance, so it feels very quiet and secure.

La Joya #6
Having stayed at La Joya in several of their villas, including #6, in the past, we know the property and the area very well. The staff is outstanding and cleanliness is top notch. The complete renovation of villa #6 was impressive considering it's original decor & layout. We liked it, but we thought it could have been renovated without abandoning all flavor of Mexico. It looked like any beachside villa in Florida. Any single room in our home here in Wisconsin has more Mexico flair than La Joya #6. The great news is, it's not too late to bring it back. Decor and trimmings set the mood. When in Mexico.........

Great place!
We didn't arrive until late, but key to our room was waiting for us clipped to the reception door. Condo was cute clean and comfy. They called taxis for us when we needed it. Owner was prompt to answer when i had a question. We didn't get to utilize the pool or beach because unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate. La Lunita restaurant is about a 2 minute walk north. The Midway store is about a 2 min walk south. And another restaurant La Buena Vida is about a 5 min walk south. Had great food and was able to buy snacks at midway. Also can rent bikes to ride down towards all the shops and Akumal Beach area - more small grocery stores and another restaurant for breakfast. If you choose to walk it's about 20 min both ways. Overall, a great place to chill.

Perfection
This condo is amazing! Gina was very responsive and answered all my questions. This was our first time not going to an all inclusive resort so we were a little nervous but that quickly went away as soon as we arrived. As per Gina's suggestion we booked round trip transfers through Happy Shuttles and it was great! Easy to find in the airport and from there they helped confirm our pickup time and location for the return ride. The condo and its views are fantastic. Every morning getting to wake up and walk out to the view of the ocean and the sound of the waves was exactly what we wanted. Gina was so sweet and welcomed us with 2 bottles of wine! One concern I had was the access to fresh drinking water and the condo provides it! The area around the condo is very safe and had everything we needed. Restaurants, grocery stores, souvenir shops. The private beach with our own palapa was such a nice change from all the crowds at resorts. No fighting for a spot or having to wake up super early to reserve a chair. I agree with others that water shoes are helpful when getting in and out of the water. The entrance is rocky (not sharp) which combined with some waves can make it hard to balance. My husband and I swam once without them and found it much easier with our water shoes (bought a pair at the store down the road from the condo). Loved having the ocean and pool just steps away from each other. The outdoor shower was very helpful after an afternoon snorkel ◡̈ The front desk was a great resource. They called us taxis, rented out snorkel gear, and even called the Dr. to make an appointment for our Covid tests (Dr. came to our condo!) The daily cleaning service was very appreciated and added to the experience. This is a place that I want to share with everyone because of how amazing it is but also tell no one so it can stay a secret! We plan to stay again!

Bliss!
This condo is exactly as the pictures. It is so lovely, and I really feel like we chose the perfect location. Akumal is a great little town with several great restaurants, but being on the private Half-Moon Bay gave a wonderful feeling of seclusion versus being on the busier Akumal Beach. We walked into the restaurants several nights. I do recommend letting the maid service come in every day. We didn’t for a few days and started to get a significant sewage smell in the bathroom. Plus they do a superb job. We did have a little bat visitor on the patio several nights, who left some droppings behind, but I suppose he was here long before we were, so it didn’t phase me much. There is lovely snorkeling in the bay, and Yal-Ku just a short ways away is phenomenal!
