We were greeted by Elizabeth, the owner, who showed us our immaculate accomodations with kitchen, breakfast and lounge areas. Breakfast was the best we had while in Iceland. Elizabeth shared her homemade and bread, cakes and cookies with us. All were outstanding. We took an evening stroll by friendly horses. Adjacent to the mountains, the views were stunning. Beds were comfy, rooms soundproof and dark. Highly recommend and would love to stay there again.

Stunning farm setting with view of snowy mountains
Posted Sep. 8, 2022 on HotelsElisabeth is a wonderful, cheerful hostess with a comfortable B and B in a stunning valley just outside Akureyri. Her guesthouse has views of snow capped mountains, sheep, cows, horses and pasture. Our room was comfortable and clean. The fish dinner she made for us (additional cost) and the breakfast were delicious and large portions. She treated us like her personal house guests. Highly recommend!

The guest house is a separate, unique building on a farm where sheep and some cows graze nearby. Elisabeth, our hostess, also provided a very delicious--and quite generous---dinner at an extremely reasonable price. Breakfast, which is included, was equally delicious and generous. Elisabeth is a fastidious housekeeper, very friendly, and is also a nurse and midwife! The location is fabulous, surrounded by ( in our case) gorgeous, snow-covered mountains.
