Wonderful

The rooms are above the resturant. Our room was nice, and clean, and really good sized.
The hotel is next door to another good resturant, and there are several good places to eat within 100m or so.
Go to the underground war museum across the street, and learn about WW1 and the western front.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Traditional family run basic hotel.
Right in the middle of Albert so good for ww1/ Somme battle history tour. Easy street car parking across the road.
Rooms clean but small and pretty basic. Too few power sockets. 2 floors, narrow steep stairs and no lift.
Breakfast lacklustre and expensive ( 12 Euro) for self-service breakfast with many bought in commercially wrapped items. We chose to breakfast elsewhere the second morning.
Staff v helpful and polite. They were a little surprised how much of a premium the booking site had added as their displayed rack rate ( displayed behind the counter) is 98 Euro/night. They said that in France , the cheapest way of booking is always to approach the hotel directly.
Onsite evening restaurant very nice and decent value.
Enjoyable stay at a hotel where is stayed previously. Right in the centre of a small town. Excellent location as a base for visiting the First World War Somme battlefield. Whilst the very good town war museum is based in the basilica opposite the hotel, you will need a car though as most of the vast battlefield is in the countryside. Although Albert isn't a big town, they're are a number of good bars and restaurants which are reasonably priced.
The room was comfortable with a view over the town Square- adequate but not large for the price. Breakfast was decent quality but felt rather rationed.
As per my comment abovet though, I've stayed here once previously and would be pleased to return when I'm in the area.
I spent a one night stay here with my daughter. Very good position in the centre of Albert. Beds were very comfortable and the staff friendly. If definitely visit staying again.
Nice little hotel in an excellent location. We managed to park right outside the premises ( but this was on a Wednesday night). Evening meal was excellent and breakfast was good.Staff helpful and friendly.
Clean and comfortable hotel, in the very centre of Albert. Convenient for the town restaurants and bars. Central to the Somme battlefields, and so very convenient for touring the battlefields. The parking outside the hotel is free.
This is a wonderful family-owned hotel in the center of Albert. I stayed for five nights and could not have been happier. The continental breakfast has lots of choices and is excellent too.
Great hotel to use as vase for exploring the Somme
Enjoyed staying here. Central and convenient for our purposes which was to visit WW1 battlefield sites. Hotel staff were friendly, restaurant provided a good menu and rooms were clean and well decorated. There is noise from the road but this should be expected when choosing a hotel in the centre of a town. Double glazing works well but I like to have windows open. Rooms at the back are road noise free. I would definitely stay here again.
The staff were very helpful at this little hotel, I organised for a map to be posted to me there. It had been placed in our room for our arrival, thank you!
The room was immaculate, we appreciated the kettle, which is not standard in France, but very welcome when visiting chilly battlefields.
Dinner was good, but not amazing, the service however was very good. Perhaps the menus had been written more with the British in mind, and lacked the normal French flair?
Situated in the centre of this charming little town opposite the impressive basilique this is an excellent centre for touring the battlefields of the Somme. The hotel public areas could do with an update, but the bedrooms and dining areas were spacious, spotlessly clean and reasonably well equipped, including tea/ coffee making facility's and free bottles of water. The breakfast was adequate, but not exceptional. The evening meals in the restaurant were, however, excellent and good value for money. We would certainly stay here again.
We were making a visit to two family war graves and particularly wanted to stay in Albert as my grandmother had visited and possibly stayed in the town 95 years ago. We were impressed with the town especially the Somme museum. The hotel was very well situated in the very centre of the town. The room we had was spacious and well appointed and evening view from our room withe Sun on the basilica was stunning. We will be returning to spend more time in the town and area. The restaurant in the hotel was also of a very good standard with a wide choice and well presented. Breakfast was a good selection. Whilst the hotel does not have its own parking area we found a parking space within a couple of minutes walk. Be aware though the hotel does not have a lift, so you will need to carry your luggage up one or two flights of stairs.
I really liked this hotel. We have been touring France for a couple of weeks staying in places of a similar standard / cost and this was a much bigger room than we have become used to. Just beware of the stairs which are steep and narrow....difficult to negociate with two suitcases!
The town of Albert is lovely with everything right on the doorstep. We didn't eat in the hotel restaurant, despite it's great reviews. We went to "Le Corner Pub" which is about 200m away and the food was superb
Our visit to Albert was arranged so that we could visit the nearby war graves at Dernancourt. We took a taxi there and it was bizarre because the taxi driver had never heard of the place. We then walked back though. It took about an hour
Very nice small hotel in a quaint little french town. Perfect location close to the Somme museum and several pubs. Room was a good size and clean. Hotel restaurant food and service was excellent.
