This review is a little unusual because we didn't actually make it to the hotel. We were so looking forward to it as part of a tour of Toulouse and the surrounding area. The location and building appeared to be first class. Unfortunately, however, our elderly dog unexpectedly took seriously ill and we took the next flight home. (We made it home just in time as despite being admitted to intensive care he only lasted another couple of hours). The hotel owner was so understanding and didn't even charge us for the cancelled stay; so I am delighted to register this good review.

L'autre Rives B and B is a warm, hospitable, and beautifully maintained hotel. Isabelle, the host, was wonderful, and took great care of us. The interior of her house is like an art gallery, with carefully selected pieces everywhere.

The house has character and is furnished with fun themes. It is a comfortable and scenic walk into the historic area....just the right distance to walk off all those wonderful French meals!

Beautiful house and better gardens; the pool is an oasis to retreat to from the afternoon sun. Welcoming host and lovely continental breakfast. Room was spacious and shower was great. All in the fantastic city of Albi. A great find.

Romantic place and friendly host
We had a fantastic stay! Isabel was a great host and very friendly - she even drove us to the train station when we left. The place is really romantic and the breakfast was delicious. I highly recommend this place.

Wonderful guest house, Isabelle was charming and booked a lovely little restaurant for us that we would never have found. A fantastic breakfast with much home made produce. High quality room and we would definitely return here on another visit to Albi.

A little slice of heaven.
Upon arrival we were met by Isabelle who made us welcome, gave information about local sights, suggested and even booked a restaurant for us. The walk into Albi was lovely and just what was needed after sitting in the car. Our room was delightful, bed very comfortable and a great bathroom. The location was very quiet and we enjoyed the garden as well. The lasting memory is breakfast and sitting around a common table talking to other travellers, while Isabelle continued to care for us. Out only regret was, we were not able to stay longer.
