Superbes vacances
Publié le 5 août 2023 sur HomeAwayUn sans-faute, tout simplement. Quatre semaines de pur bonheur dans un lieu absolument splendide. L'endroit est paisible, proche de toutes les commodités et offre une vue magnifique. Nous n'avons manqué de rien, de la climatisation aux équipements divers, tout était parfait. Un grand merci à Bill qui a su se montrer très réactif au moindre problème.

The villa was left clean and in excellent order
The guests were very communicative during a minor plumbing problem, which, thanks to them was quickly attended to.
They are very welcome to return to Casa Maydell. Highly recommended guests.

Publié le 29 août 2021 sur HomeAwayNous avons passé un incroyable séjour. La villa est parfaite, très propre et bien équipée. Elle est située en périphérie d'Albox dans un endroit particulièrement calme et reposant. Mille mercis à Bill et Nemesia pour leur accueil et leur écoute !

There were some challenges with Maria and her friends. Unfortunately they did not get the enjoyment from this lovely villa that other guest have had. I suggest a villa holiday was not appropriate for them.

Not a relaxing vacation…
Publié le 18 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayVilla Maydell is a very nice property, well equipped & comfortable. The pool was clean & well maintained by Roy who is an absolute GEM!
The villa sits in well established & secluded grounds, ideally situated for visiting the local area & a short distance from Albox town.
However, for all its plus’s, Villa Maydell has an extremely busy main road & junction running directly alongside the rear of the property; the immediate neighbour appears to run a ‘builder’s business’ from his property, with heavy plant machinery belching diesel fumes everywhere & moving building materials on a regular basis.
So we had the constant road noise, the added builder’s business noise plus we also had the immediate neighbour’s dogs that would bark at anytime of the ‘day or night’ for up to 2 hours at a time… as a result of all this we had to sleep with the windows shut and the shutters down all the time, in order to try to get ‘some sleep’. Villa Maydell is not situated in a ‘peaceful hamlet’ as advertised.

Regarding the location, you understand that the villa is situated in a rural area, which means that countryside noises are to be expected. It's part of the charm of staying in such a picturesque setting. Additionally, we can confirm that our neighbour is not operating a building company, so any noise you may have heard was likely related to him leaving for work or other regular activities in the area.
The nearby road is indeed a quiet back road, which typically sees minimal traffic. We aim to offer a peaceful retreat for our guests, and we apologize if the noise level did not meet your expectations.
We value your input and will take your comments into consideration as we continue to improve our guests' experiences. We hope you were able to find some enjoyment during your stay.

Publié le 18 août 2023 sur HomeAwayVilla is in a great location in a quiet hamlet 5mins drive from Albox great scenery. Bill was very friendly quick responses when needed help or advise. Swimming pool was clean and was cleaned once a week whilst we were there. Well equipped home from home would definitely book again

Publié le 21 sept. 2022 sur HomeAwayEs la Segunda vez que nos hospedamos en Casa Maydell y de nuevo hemos estado muy a gusto. Un sitio tranquilo, muy bien pensado para familias y totalmente equipado.
Incluso el año pasado comentamos que lo único que faltaba era una batidora y han puesto una!!!
